(AP) — The City of Flagstaff has joined in opposing uranium mining near the Grand Canyon.The City Council passed a resolution this week supporting Interior Secretary Ken Salazar’s decision to ban any new hard-rock mining claims in a 1 million-acre area outside the national park’s boundaries.
