The News That Matters about the Nuclear Industry Fukushima Chernobyl Mayak Three Mile Island Atomic Testing Radiation Isotope

The role in the Fukushima cover up of the BBC in supporting corrupt Science Media Centres!

At the dawn of the 21st century in a little room in the UK an idea was hatched to provide media with scientists.. this 2 woman enterprise was to be funded by Monsanto and 80 odd other organisations.. The founder and director of this service was the brainchild of Fiona Fox.

guess which is Fionna?

This is the bbc`s Rebecca Morelle who knows one of the above or maybe both?

Does this guy have the hots for Fionna or Rebecca?

The connections to the BBC and other outlets in the UK gives the UK Science media an unparalleled power to manipulate the scientific argument.

Journalism would usually be looking from the outside of the science community as a check balance to fraud, incompetence or just plain mistakes.. A trained science journalist would assimilate the technical data and make a report based on unbiased oversight (depending on which newspapers they come from ).

Fionna Fox and the UK SMC decided that this oversight was getting in the way of her preferred scientists and has had many campaigns to sideline any other independent scientists or researchers.

Not content with fully corrupting UK science discussion especially on the BBC (who she has deep connections with ), as well as other main stream outlets. Fionna decided to open another in Australia.. Killing off some good critical thinking journalists and news outlets with the help of  the likes Ashursts legal corporation (A UK headquartered corporation, currently trying to silence an Australian blogger – Christina Macpherson from ), therby, silencing the last of the independent voice in Australia (nearly)

Then came the Fukushima tragedy.. Fionna Fox then came swinging into action with her nuclear contacts to counter the truth of the situation in japan along side the likes of PR corporations like WPP (PR conglomerate and think tank and employer of Tony Blair and Peter Mandelson ). She opened the pre crime division of the SMC Japan to counter “illegal rumour”, though this branch of her SMC empire was to fail only a year later as some truth escaped her “science blockade” .

As most people are aware by now that there are some serious deceptions going on concerning the Japanese nuclear disaster and Fionna has been quoted as supporting the nuclear Science Media Centre lobby who says “no health implications as the dose was to low”. this SMC in Japan was supported by the Australian SMC and was further enhanced by the UK SMC “experts.. The problem occurred as the news of the thyroid cancers in Fukushima began their steady upward rise.. The Japan SMC was abandoned and now lies idle as far as its public presence is concerned. However Geraldine Thomas (imperial College Uni. and Chernobyl Tissue bank)was recently quoted once again saying ther is no health effects and that the sudden rash of thyroids cancers are not proved to be from radiation. And this is good balanced science? So, maybe Fionna still has a contract in Japan or the Empire of SMC has left licking its wounds in this case. Proving the adage that ” THE TRUTH CAN HURT”

Still supporting the Japanese in an open way is good old BBC favourite, Geraldine Thomas and the small cohort of UK nuclear advisors giving an outdated and simplistic approach to explaining nuclear events such as Fukushima.

The SMC`s and the chosen ones of the science community will not allow other points of view concerning the dose arguments that are raging across the planet. They also spread rumours to usurp any faults in their corporate backed view of radiation risk assessments. A good example of this is attacks on the likes of independent researcher and scientist Prof. Chris Busby, or even attacking a huge research paper such as the New York Academy of Science (NYAS) released “

The NYAS book review was taken up by the BBC and their SMC friends and a rumour was spread that the book (a research of Chernobyl of staggering importance to the dose argument) was flawed and not reliable. This was an outright lie perpetrated by science “experts” from the BBC then onto the rest of the media. Dr Yablakovs book will NOT be seen in any of the 3 UNSCEAR meetings set for October 2013. No balanced research allowed there.

Below are some links and quotes. There is also some critiques of the SMC and Fionna Fox. Also, there is links to the impact of SMC`s on science journalism (and its not a good effect)

More on the BBC as i connect the dots. I will be posting more on the above issues in detail in the near future.

Here are some of my preliminary findings on the dodgy global Science Media Centres/Centers part translated

Fukushima – Science Media Centres and their part in corrupting truth. 福島-科学Mediaセンターとその腐敗してしまった真実について

I dont know why i would want to connect Ashursts with Imperial college University.. hmmm???  watch for the rabbit hole here   🙂

And heres the connection

Ashurst advises Imperial College London of Science, Technology and Medicine on £140 million rights issue and placing of warrants

16 December 2010

Ashurst is advising Imperial College London of Science, Technology and Medicine as a major shareholder of Imperial Innovations Group on a £140 million  rights issue and issue of warrants by Imperial Innovations Group.  Imperial College London of Science, Technology and Medicine was issued with warrants to subscribe for new convertible shares in consideration of the undertaking not to take up rights under the rights issue.

J.P. Morgan Cazenove placed the whole of the warrants allocated to the College with Invesco, another major shareholder of Imperial Innovations Group plc.

The Ashurst team was led by corporate partner Anthony Clare, assisted by associate Karin Kirschner.

Mayer Brown International LLP advised Imperial Innovations Group plc and Macfarlanes LLP advised J.P. Morgan Cazenove.

Hey!! Christina, I think Ashurst are being paid by someone to nobble your blog!! 😦

And this from a survivor from the Australian Thought Crime Purge, a dedicated independent science journalist cutie called Christina MacPherson  🙂 makes some relevant points.

And finally some of the links and articles that inspired me to put together this article.. sorry about the clutter but i am too busy to tweak.. please feel free to change, reblog or disseminate in any way.. i am a great believer in free crowd sourced news, so feel free to improve, correct or copy… The public is being fooled by the science and its up to us bloggers to unfool the public.. imo.. Media blackouts and the health risks of GM food exposed

September 17th, 2013

The Mail, Telegraph and Financial Times were the only papers to publish the story in their print editions.  According to our source, who wished to remain anonymous, the BBC had two programmes lined up to cover the study on the day it went public but mysteriously pulled the broadcasts.

Fiona Fox, chief executive of the pro-GM Science Media Centre (SMC), which receives funding from biotech companies including Monsanto, publicly claimed credit for killing media coverage of Séralini’s work in the UK.1  The SMC enjoys an exceptionally cosy relationship with the broadcaster: it has pocketed cash from BBC Worldwide and BBC staff are on both its advisory board and board of trustees.  Fox has her own BBC blog.

Raids on Traveller sites condemned by campaigners -UK

And so the purge of gypsies has begun in the UK.. a bit of a shame as i have had to become one myself to be able to stay in the UK…. So, i give you this bit of evidence of racial profiling of Irish travelling communities (Pavees) throughout the UK and a the silence of a subservient Irish government (ref the Irish banking tapes)

Triangular patches showed gypsy and other in the concentration camps.. Source Wiki….

I have to wonder how comfortable people are when the UK police and security services have TEMPORA GCHQ to play with?..(and isnt it interesting they targetted the human rights promoters within the Gypsy community. (these activists in the report are not renowned for criminality as they are human rights activists.. not thiefs) [Arclight2011]

UK spy scheme said to be larger than Prism

Dave Landau, of Traveller Solidarity Network, expressed his very serious concerns about the motivation for the police’s heavyhanded and intimidatory approach:

“I don’t want to be alarmist but I think this is a very serious development. The police’s ‘Operation Elvin’ strikes me as a classic case of ‘racial profiling’ and a useful cover to harass the community. It would be like, say, a couple of Jewish people did a series of robberies and the police raided the Board of Deputies and synagogues looking for the proceeds And the raid on Grattan must surely be an attempt to silence the most prominent champion of Travellers’ rights and intimidate our movement.”

first they came for travellers

In the last week several Traveller communities as well as Traveller rights campaigners have been subjected to police raids. The police claim the “Operation Elven” series of raids, including one at Smithy Fen Traveller site in Cambridge, supposedly concern thefts of Chinese artefacts and rhinoceros horn from museums and auction houses across England and Ireland. However, police have been accused of serial heavy-handedness and faulty intelligence.

Nuclear industry sees a bleak outlook for its future

antinuke-worldSmLights out for nuclear power? Japan’s Fukushima disaster and the rise of shale gas have the developed world running from nuclear power Macleans, by Jonathon Gatehouse on Monday, September 16, 2013 The last thing anyone wants to hear regarding a nuclear accident is “unprecedented crisis” and “getting worse.” Yet that was the frank assessment Tatsujiro Suzuki, chair of Japan’s Atomic Energy Commission, gave about the Fukushima power plant in an interview with the BBC earlier this month. …….  the latest government plan—to spend $470 million to turn the ground beneath the plant into an impenetrable “ice wall” via a network of refrigerated pipes—sounds more like a James Bond movie than proven science…… the disaster site itself, it’s the lingering after-effects that are proving most difficult to overcome.

Lost in the headlines about the leaks and ice walls this month was the latest calamity to befall the business, the closure of Vermont’s only nuclear plant. It was the fifth announced shutdown of a U.S. reactor in the past 12 months alone. Fourteen others are already in the process of being decommissioned. A confluence of factors—Fukushima-driven safety concerns, reinvigorated environmental opposition, cheaper power alternatives and depressed demand for electricity—has governments and utilities backing away from fission. It’s a growing trend that has proponents of nuclear energy suddenly worrying about its future……..

It wasn’t that long ago that experts were predicting a bright tomorrow for nuclear power………

What few saw coming, however, was the rapid emergence of shale gas as a cheap and abundant fuel source. Coupled with a six-year economic slump that has greatly slowed the growth in industrial demand across North America, the new supply has pushed down wholesale electricity prices to the point where nuclear operators are now feeling the squeeze. And when it comes to planning for future needs, gas plants—which can be built in just over a year for less than $1 billion—are proving far more attractive than nuclear stations that cost in excess of $12 billion and take as long as a decade to come online.

The outlook for nuclear is similarly bleak in western Europe……….. even France, a long-time nuclear champion, is moving forward with a plan to reduce fission-derived power from 75 per cent to 50 per cent of its national supply by 2025…..

Most of the Western world’s nuclear facilities are already toward the tail end of their usefulness, having been built in the 1970s and early ’80s. …..

A thousand tons of radioactively polluted water dumped by TEPCO into Pacific Ocean

Pacific-Ocean-drainFukushima Operator Dumps 1,000 Tons Of Polluted Water In Sea Agence France Presse  |   09/17/2013 T The operator of the leaking Fukushima nuclear plant said Tuesday that it dumped more than 1,000 tons of polluted water into the sea after a typhoon raked the facility.

Typhoon Man-yi smashed into Japan on Monday, bringing with it heavy rain that caused flooding in some parts of the country, including the ancient city of Kyoto.

The rain also lashed near the broken plant run by Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO), swamping enclosure walls around clusters of water tanks containing toxic water that was used to cool broken reactors. Continue reading

Fukushima nuclear plant “under control”- who believes this?

exclamation-Seemingly, all TEPCO has been doing for the last two and a half years is storing contaminated water in tanks, with no real solution to the problem reached.   What the Japanese government is doing is ensuring people in Japan and around the world that Japanese water and food are safe to eat and drink, and that the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster will not affect the 2020 Toyko Olympics.  One thing neither Japan nor TEPCO are doing is keeping Japanese citizens or the international community promptly and accurately informed and up-to-date of the contaminated water leaks.

flag-japanJapanese ministers miss the point at Fukushima Daiichi  Lucas W Hixson  17 Sept 13, Earlier this month, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told the International Olympic Committee in Buenos Aires, that the “effects from the contaminated water have been perfectly blocked within the (artificial) bay” of the wrecked nuclear complex, and said “the situation is under control.”  A statement which was questioned strongly by the Japanese media, as experts have continually noted that contaminated water is continually flowing into the Pacific Ocean. Large release of Fukushima radioactive water into Pacific Ocean

Japan Radiation Doomsday: Typhoon Man-yi Pushes Fukushima Operator to Release Contaminated Rainwater into Pacific Ocean, Assures Low Radiation Levels  International Business Times By Esther Tanquintic-Misa | September 17, 2013

Waving Typhoon Man-yi as a reasonable enough excuse, the operator of the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant has again dislodged contaminated water, this time in the guise of rainwater, into the Pacific Ocean. Fearing the heavy rains dumped by Typhoon Man-yi will flood and further devastate the Fukushima nuclear power plant, operator Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO) decided to open its barriers to release the water through drainage ditches into the ocean. This happened around 12:40 pm on Monday.

However, Japanese media outlets reported the amount of contaminated rainwater remained unknown. It further confronted TEPCO if it first measured the toxicity of the contaminated rainwater before releasing it into the ocean…..

Solar power in Japan surpasses the 10 gigawatt mark.

sunflag-japanSolar energy reaches new milestone in Japan 17 September 2013.

Japan hits 10GW of installed solar energy capacity

As Japan continues to look for alternatives to fossil-fuels and nuclear power, the country has reached a major milestone concerning solar energy. A recent study conducted by NPD Solarbuzz, a research organization focused on solar energy, found that Japanese photovoltaic installations surpassed the 10 gigawatt mark. This makes Japan only the fifth country in the world to reach this milestone. The other four are Italy, China, Germany, and the U.S. Continue reading

Japanese government and TEPCO being sued by 1000s of nuclear refueees

justiceflag-japanMore Japanese nuclear refugees sue Tepco, government  17 Sept 13, OSAKA – A total of 171 people from Fukushima Prefecture who had to flee their homes because of the crisis at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant sued Tokyo Electric Power Co. and the central government Tuesday for ¥1.62 billion in damages.

The plaintiffs, from 60 families now living in western Japan, filed two suits, one with the Osaka District Court and the other with the Kyoto District Court.

Similar damages suits have been filed with 11 district courts by 3,811 plaintiffs, according to lawyers of the western Japan groups.

In the suit brought to the Osaka court, 80 members of 27 households are seeking ¥1.2 billion in damages, while in the Kyoto suit, 91 members of 33 households are demanding ¥400 million.

They argue that Tepco neglected its duty to prepare the plant for earthquakes and tsunami, while the central government failed to take stringent regulatory steps to prevent the triple meltdown.

Iran not planning to close uranium enrichment plant

flag-IranIran will not close Fordo nuclear plant: source, Tehran Times, 17 Sept 13  TEHRAN Iran would not suspend activities at the Fordo enrichment plant, the ISNA news agency said on Tuesday, quoting an informed source.

According to the source, Iran would not come up with any fresh proposal to the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) in New York and it would await the other side’s offers.

His comments came after the Spiegel weekly published an article on Monday claiming that Iranian President Hassan Rohani is reportedly prepared to decommission the Fordo enrichment plant and allow international inspectors to monitor the removal of the centrifuges.,,,,,,,

USA National Nuclear Security Administration’s projects all behind schedule and over budget

Flag-USASentencing delayed for Duluth nuclear protester, Duluth News Tribune A judge has delayed a sentencing hearing for a Duluth man and two other protesters for breaking into a nuclear weapons plant in Tennessee. By: Associated Press staff,, 16 Sept 13

missile-money“………..Nuclear facilities across the country are getting renewed scrutiny in light of forced across-the-board federal budget cuts and security lapses such as the incident last year at Y-12. Before finally being detected, the three protesters cut through security fences, hung banners and crime-scene tape and hammered off a small chunk of a building inside the complex that is the nation’s central repository for bomb-grade uranium.

At Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, a seven-year, $213 million upgrade to the security system that protects the lab’s most sensitive nuclear bomb-making facilities doesn’t work. Those same facilities, which sit atop a fault line, remain susceptible to collapse and dangerous radiation releases, despite millions more spent on improvement plans.

In Tennessee, the price tag for a new uranium processing facility has grown nearly sevenfold in eight years to upward of $6 billion because of problems that include a redesign to raise the roof. And the estimated cost of an ongoing effort to refurbish 400 of the country’s B61 bombs has grown from $1.5 billion to $10 billion.

Virtually every major project under the National Nuclear Security Administration’s oversight is behind schedule and over budget — the result, watchdogs and government auditors say, of years of lax accountability and nearly automatic annual budget increases for the agency responsible for maintaining the nation’s nuclear stockpile.

The NNSA has racked up $16 billion in cost overruns on 10 major projects that are a combined 38 years behind schedule, the U.S. Government Accountability Office reports. Other projects have been canceled or suspended, despite hundreds of millions of dollars already spent, because they grew too bloated.

Advocates say spending increases are necessary to keep the nation’s nuclear arsenal operating and safe, and to continue cutting-edge research at the nation’s nuclear labs. But critics say the nuclear program — run largely by private contractors and overseen by the NNSA, an arm of the U.S. Energy Department — has turned into a massive jobs program with duplicative functions…….

No referendum, no nuclear plant – they’re saying, in Taiwan

logo-NO-nuclear-Smflag-TaiwanActivists want no referendum and no nuclear plant Taipei Times, By Lee I-chia  /  Staff reporter 17 Sept 13 During the first day of the new legislative session yesterday, anti-nuclear power environmentalists again gathered in front of the Legislative Yuan in Taipei, calling on legislators to stop the construction of the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant in Gongliao (貢寮), New Taipei City (新北市), and withdraw the referendum proposal on the plant.

Taiwan Environmental Protection Union founding chairman Shih Hsin-min (施信民) said the referendum proposal suggested by Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) Legislator Lee Ching-hua (李慶華) is aimed at exploiting the “problematic” Referendum Act (公民投票法), ignoring public opinion and supporting the Cabinet’s will of allowing the plant to go into operation…….. Pan said the public is invited to join in a “Fourth Nuclear Power Plant termination” relay walk around the nation, ending at the Presidential Office on Jan. 1.

Scotland’s Sustainable Renewable Technologies (SRT) comes up with the SOLAR PYRAMID

The Solar Powered Pyramid 18 Sept 13 The sight of solar panels on a rooftop mightn’t generally capture as much attention as it once did, but this installation certainly does.
Designed and installed by Scotland’s Sustainable Renewable Technologies (SRT), the 48.25 kW installation provides 85% of the power used by the pyramid-shaped headquarters of Survey Solutions at Bilston Glen, Loanhead, Edinburgh.

According to SRT, other solar companies approached to execute the installation shied away from the project; stating that it could not be done.
Design of the scaffolding system that would allow the panels to be positioned in place was quite a challenge, but even more so was the clients’ requirement that each face of the pyramid to be covered in solar panels must be a perfect triangle. There could be none of the stepping that would otherwise be seen with square solar cells of the cut-down panels along edges.

To achieve the “perfect triangle” effect wasn’t so much a case of high-tech wizardry, but more design ingenuity – the panels along the edge are dummies and do not generate power.  The 193 panel array will provide a benefit to the building’s owners of around AUD$17,000 annually and avoid the creation of around 36 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year.

The system was installed in July 2012 and has been nominated for this year’s Solar Power Portal Awards, which recognises good practice, professionalism, quality, safety and innovation in the UK’s solar industry.

The SRT installation is unsurprisingly in the “Most Innovative System Design,” category. Also not surprising is the comment from Tom King, SRT’s managing director, who said the installation was the most challenging project he has planned so far.
We imagine the project has resulted in all sorts of weird and wonderful design requests for Mr. King and his team.

Where did Fukushimas Plutonium go to? Where did it come from?

“…Appprox 10 Curies of PU 241 was released PER TON of MOX fuel ejected.. no figures have been done to ascertain the actual quantity of Pu241 that was ejected. In fact the Japanese can only refer to plutonium as “Alpha” (hinting at the type of energy released by plutonium 241)….”

h/t Satsuki “the indomitable ” and Paul Langley ” a very nice person”

Looking through some of the limited public data on radionuclide contamination, i noticed a few points that might be worth noting. Although the levels are shown as low in these USA air readings , the proportions of Iodine 131 and Beta was surprising. Also, the Alpha measurement was only slightly less.. there was a larger selection of radionuclide’s to include as well.

Screenshot from 2013-09-18 03:03:51

Screenshot from 2013-09-18 03:04:44

And this is to show the date of the air samples

Screenshot from 2013-09-18 03:05:40

The Beta (radon and uranium?) content was as high as the iodine 131, or at least the beta reading as shown on the screenshots.. you can access the hard to use, unergonomic csv files here…

From this link
could this be where the beta or radon came from?

Did they come from the very active MOX spent Fuel pool 4 contents?

MOX reactor 3 contents ejection event?

here is Prof. Chris Busby measuring an air filter and finding high levels of Pb lead from a Tokyo apartment building contaminated during the same early months

The levels found on the above screenshots show low values and much of the actual data is under encrypted password, though they show these values.. if we were to look at the comparative values of these low doses and say that Tokyo was hit with Pblead (betas) and Iodine131 and slightly lesser Plutonium and uranium quantities  The Radon component that would leave a Pblead residue that would build up over time as shown by Prof Busbies video. So, does this mean that the new MOX fuel has had unintended contaminations?

The chart also shows a lesser amount of alpha. Is this a uranium component that is responsible for it?
Mox fuel has a lot of waste uranium in it and a lesser amount of Plutonium. However, the total amount of plutonium that could be released from unit 3 Daichi during its mile high dark smoke explosion (shown on the nearly censored video of it) is about 10 curies per ton of MOX fuel ejected from Daichi 3 and likely more if it was from the superhot new fuel rods that nestled with the older MOX fuel rods.. It sounds like they were trying different mixes too.. sort of experimental, like Chernobyl. UK made and USA supported for those needed exclusive isotopes. All corporately backed.

Some interesting links for you to look at that i feel are relevant;

The Japanese delegation prevaricated and outright lied concerning the present situation on the ground in the most contaminated  areas downwind of the stricken nuclear plant Daichi 1 where 3 meltdowns occurred and a MOX Plutonium reactor exploded with devastating results, creating a mile high mushroom cloud!

Appprox 10 Curies of PU 241 was released PER TON of MOX fuel ejected.. no figures have been done to ascertain the actual quantity of Pu241 that was ejected. In fact the Japanese can only refer to plutonium as “Alpha” (hinting at the type of energy released by plutonium 241).

…..Tepco was not just seeking approval to install 32 MOX fuel assemblies into the core of Reactor 3 at Fukushima – I.  It appears that they were intentional about taking it a step further and in fact seeking approval for a quick transition to a 1/3 MOX core at the NPP in question……(July 31, 2010 )…

Eliminating nuclear weapons is just as important as eliminating chemical weapons

great thoughts here…

IPPNW peace and health blog

The apparent employment of chemical weapons in Syria should remind us that, while weapons of mass destruction exist, there is a serious danger that they will be used.

That danger is highlighted by an article in the September/October 2013 issue of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. Written by two leading nuclear weapons specialists, Hans Kristensen and Robert Norris of the Federation of American Scientists, the article provides important information about nuclear weapons that should alarm everyone concerned about the future of the planet.
