USA accused of losing 1500 sources of ionising radiation
The allegations of mishandling of nuclear materials by the U.S. government does not end there, the Russian Foreign Ministry is also stating that between 1996 and 2001, nearly 1,500 sources of ionizing radiation were lost here in the U.S.
Russia States Weapons Grade Nuclear Material from Los Alamos In the Hands of Drug Dealers in U.S. Moscow, WorldNewsVine, RU (Aug 7) – The Russian Ministry released a statement on their website today inferring, that in 2006 Weapons grade nuclear material, stolen from Los Alamos ended up in the hands of a drug dealing gang. Four nuclear sites in Russia at risk from fires
The Mayak plant can process 400 tonnes of waste a year. It was the scene of one of the former Soviet Union’s major nuclear disasters in 1957 when a liquid waste accident affected some 260,000 people and forced the evacuation of several towns.
