Below, is a report concerning the petition to the UN on behalf of the Children of Fukushima and their petition to the UN. The UN sent Mr. Anand Grover on a Country Visit to Japan on 15 to 26 November 2012. Mr Anand Grover made some comments regarding the nuclear disaster, as well as some other issues in Japan.

In response to Mr Anand Grovers comments the Japanese Government sent a delegation to reassure the UN that the points Mr Anand Grover brought up were being tackled or that clarification on issues could be made.
The document to this response has been oddly placed on the Arabic section of the UN website, though it was listed in the media section that deals with press releases. It is not available in the Japanese language. (Some Japanese translation below, in the comments section by mia)
No mention of this meeting nor any of the statements have been covered or commented on by the main stream media.
The petition for the evacuation of the children of Fukushima was given to the UN in New York in September 2011, the special rapporteur made his visit in November 2012 and extracts of the Japanese delegations responses are below with some background info to help you see the bigger picture.
The Japanese delegation prevaricated and outright lied concerning the present situation on the ground in the most contaminated areas downwind of the stricken nuclear plant Daichi 1 where 3 meltdowns occurred and a MOX Plutonium reactor exploded with devastating results, creating a mile high mushroom cloud!
10 Curies of PU 241 was released PER TON of MOX fuel ejected.. no figures have been done to ascertain the actual quantity of Pu241 that was ejected. In fact the Japanese can only refer to plutonium as “Alpha” (hinting at the type of energy released by plutonium 241).
…..Tepco was not just seeking approval to install 32 MOX fuel assemblies into the core of Reactor 3 at Fukushima – I. The lies and deception of the Japanese government throughout this disaster have been legendary and it is possible to see much of this even in mainstream Japanese media (without the word plutonium (Alpha) and some other censored terms).

For workers at a nuclear power plant, the maximum limit of exposure (in the controlled area) prescribed by law is 20 mSv/year (not exceeding 50 mSv/year) and a cumulative dose of 100 mSv in five years. The law prohibits the entry of ordinary citizens into the controlled area with radiation dose of 1.3 mSv/quarter and further prohibits workers to eat, drink or sleep in that area.

[Eitors note ] i should point out that residents have been forced to live with more than 5mSv/y zone ,in fact as high as 20msv/y also another isotope not mentioned but has been recorded in high amounts was Pb (Lead) 210. TEPCO refused to comment as it had not yet seen details of the cases. The Industry Ministry, which oversaw the nuclear regulatory body at the time of the accident, also declined to comment.
The 9.0 magnitude earthquake that unleashed a powerful tsunami on March 11, 2011 knocked out the Fukushima nuke plant sending out radiation that contaminated food and water, and forced the evacuation of more than 160,000 residents around a 30-kilometer radius of the stricken plant. Concluding Remarks of the optional Protocol meeting of 30 April 2013
MOHAMED EZZELDIN ABDEL-MONEIM, Committee Rapporteur for the Report of Japan, said that at the time of reporting Japan was one of the largest world economies, and inflation in the economy had led to large debt levels. This had made spending cuts attractive but, in the face of economic recession, this approach had failed time and again. He also mentioned that in relation to the need to comply with obligations, the Covenant noted the need to comply with other elements of international law.
HIDEAKI UEDA, Ambassador in charge of Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Japan, expressed his gratitude for a vibrant and comprehensive discussion of economic, social and cultural rights. This was a valuable opportunity for review and Japan would continue with its efforts to improve access to these rights.
ZDZISLAW KEDZIA, Committee Chairperson, thanked all members of the delegation for the fruitful and friendly dialogue. There remained differences in the evaluation of some points though a better understanding had been reached. The concluding remarks of the Committee would be adopted on 17 May 2013, and as a group they looked forward to the follow-up.

[Editors note] It is interesting that Anand Gover is not the rapporteur in this meeting and it is Mohamed Ezzeldin Abdel-Moneim (Egypt).
Egypt is a small place and the new administration has excessive powers. Also, the Egyptian Government have made a big deal of the other powers (USA) not complying with the arms reduction treaty in recent statements and have actually withdrawn from talks in protest.I think these are smoke and mirrors to enable Egypt to develop nuclear weapons in the future. As a side note, where will Egypt place these new reactors? On the ever shrinking Nile river or the Mediterranean Sea?

Kevin Hurley talks with Arnie and Maggie Gundersen about the NRC’s Atomic Safety and Licensing Board’s (ASLB) decision to hold public hearings about restarting the San Onofre Nuclear Plant. “This whole issue is about the public’s right to know. The nuclear industry and the NRC have developed a process to keep the public out,” Arnie says. “Was there a safety risk? Yes,” Maggie says, “There was a significant safety risk to the 8 million people in that area of southern California. Was there a radiation release? Yes. It was minor, but it could have been so much more.”

Experts say reactor sits on active fault
An expert panel of Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority has officially concluded that a reactor on the country’s Sea of Japan side sits on an active fault.
The panel compiled its final report on the Number 2 reactor of the Tsuruga plant in central Japan on Wednesday. Experts had examined the site for 6 months.
Monju ordered not to prepare for reactor restart
Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority has decided to issue orders not to prepare to restart the Monju fast-breeder reactor in Tsuruga, Fukui Prefecture.
The prototype reactor, currently offline, generates power using plutonium extracted from spent nuclear fuel.
Nuclear plant in Taiwan shown to media

The plant’s operator, Taiwan Power Company, held a tour for media at the Lungmen nuclear power plant in New Taipei City on Tuesday. It will be Taiwan’s fourth nuclear plant.

The last time Vladimir Putin was president, he laid the foundation to pull Mother Russia from the wreck of economic chaos to a world power once again. This time, he’s ready to extend that influence to counter the West. His tools: Russia’s abundant resources of energy, including uranium.
There’s a new war developing on the continent, and the weapons this time will be oil wells, gas fields, and uranium mines, pipelines and ports, processing facilities, and supply deals.
Led by Russia’s vast resource wealth and China’s massive bank account, the countries of Asia and those along the Eurasian divide are realizing they do not want or need help from the West to achieve their goals. They are settling their differences, negotiating closer relations, and advancing their plans without as much as a phone call to Washington or Brussels.
After years of Western dominance in world affairs, they’ve had enough. And with Vladimir Putin back in as Russia’s president, this emerging bloc has its leader.
Vladimir Vladimirovich is a man of remarkable intelligence, determination, and ruthlessness. In many Russian eyes, that last attribute is far from a fault – they see him as a man’s man who restored their country’s pride, economy, and position of influence after a humiliating period they’d rather forget. If that has required trampling some citizen rights along with much of the country’s new capitalist class… well, nothing comes for free.
From the chaos of financial collapse and political turmoil in 1998, Putin increased GDP by an average 7% annually, cut in half the number of Russians living below the poverty line, grew industry by 75%, and doubled real incomes.
He’s achieved these accomplishments largely though development of energy resources. Under his guidance, Russia became a global energy superpower. Today, with a much-strengthened country under his feet, Putin will use his control over natural resources to pull leverage away from the United States and Europe.
It’s no secret that Putin disdains America’s self-appointed role as global policeman and holds Europe in equal contempt for generally supporting US foreign policy. The NATO campaign in Libya was perhaps a final straw: After Russia vetoed a UN motion to intervene in the civil war there, the US and its European allies turned to their military club NATO to further the regime change they desired. To Russia, at least, it was a snub intended to suggest that Russian opinion still doesn’t matter.
Now Putin’s primary goal is to prove that view wrong.
And he has the tools to do so. Among other things, he’s working to corner the uranium market – his country already controls 40% of global uranium enrichment capacity, the lion’s share of the world’s downblending facilities, and a fair chunk of the world’s uranium resources.
On top of that, the country’s nuclear power giant, Rosatom, builds more nuclear power plants than any other company in the world, with deals for 21 international reactors currently on the books.
The era of Putinization is about to begin, and we investors need to understand where it’s coming from and what it means. What’s on the table are investment trends and profits along with the balance of world influence…….

UK invention to clean-up Fukushima – The Radball

An invention created in Lancashire is to be used in the clean-up of the Fukushima nuclear plant.
The ‘Radball’, developed at the National Nuclear Laboratory’s (NNL) site at Salwick, near Preston, will be used to pinpoint contamination hot spots at the scene of the disaster following a tsunami strike in 2011.
It can analyse the extent and location of radiation contamination within confined spaces and will be used to map levels in the former reactors.
NNL managing director Paul Howarth said: “The cleanup of the Fukushima site is one of the major challenges facing the global nuclear industry at present, and I’m delighted that this technology is to be part of the solution to that challenge.”
He said it would be working alongside the Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy and Fukushima site owner TEPCO on the project.
The boss added: “We are looking to getting a better understand the details of the site and to help them to evaluate the capabilities of RadBall.”

….That Troxler 3440 seems like a pretty amazing device. From what I can gather, the nuclear materials send out Gamma rays which are sent into the soil, and then the the bounce back is sensed. I think. It sounds sort of like a Gamma-ray based radar or sonar system…..
……These things are commonly used by construction crews and surveyors, and I’m pretty sure that if you hold it up to your genitals for long enough, it’ll turn you into the Hulk…..

The truck was transporting the device for the Pennsylvania firm Valley Quarries Inc. – a company licensed to possess and use the gauge. The company had been using the instrument in West Virginia at the time it was lost, and is desperately seeking to find it

Department of Environmental Protection officials said Tuesday that after one of its employees was taking a reading with the job, he placed the gauge in his pickup truck to drive to another site.
“Once he arrived, the gauge user realized the truck’s rear gate had opened and the device was missing,”DEP spokeswoman Lisa Kasianowitz told The Times Online. “Further, the gauge was not in its shipping container. The gauge user and a coworker promptly drove back along the route just traveled but were unable to find the device.”
Officials are now warning people to be on the lookout for a device that could pose dangerous health and contamination risks to the public.
“It is critical for anyone who has information about the lost nuclear gauge to contact
the Pennsylvania DEP, Nuclear Regulatory Commission or a local law enforcement agency immediately.
As long as the device is not tampered with or damaged, it presents no hazard to public safety,”
the DEP Bureau of Radiation Protect David Allard said in a press release.

Jacques Attali Since the terrible accident on March 11, 2011, (an earthquake of magnitude 9 and tsunami with a height of 15 meters), the central devastated Fukushima has, apparently, caused any health problems out Japan. In Japan, for cons, it was found in food products, cesium levels above the permitted standard. .In addition, according to some Japanese data, some of which are not yet reflected the situation at Fukushima is not under control.
First, 400 tons of water every day will come, sent by the operator TEPCO to cool the nuclear reactions that are continuing, are contaminated, and in addition to 280,000 tons of contaminated water are already there. In addition, there is the central hundreds of tons of highly contaminated materials. As the Japanese seem to minimize these problems, which are not within the reach of Japanese technology, a general mobilization of the world is necessary, if you do not want to have terrifying consequences for humanity. The next G8 summit in London in June to decide that Fukushima is not a Japanese problem, but a global problem.

Again turning away ERC Bellona executive director, prosecutors demand chairman Nikitin

Prosecutors in St. Petersburg again refused to provide the Environmental Rights Center (ERC) Bellona’s executive director, Nikolai Rybakov, with any information concerning the disposition of a number of so-called administrative violations levied against the organization in connection with Russia’s ongoing nit-picking of NGOs under an onerous new law.
Rybakov has been summoned to the prosecutor’s office in St. Petersburg more than a half dozen times since an unannounced raid on ERC Bellona’s office on March 21 by prosecutors, which allegedly revealed code violations that could amont to $20,000 in fines.
Last Monday, the prosecutor’s finally released their complete list of accusations against the organization in written form and gave it to ERC Bellona’s lawyer, Artyom Alexeyev.
The six-page long letter of dense legalese, detailing supposed fire and health code violations, stipulated that ERC Bellona had 30 days beginning with the receipt of the letter to address these violations.
The letter was also accompanied by an order that Rybakov appear at the prosecutors office today, Monday May 13. Rybakov, upon receiving the letter, sent 76 pages of documents back to prosecutors that refuted every accusation they made in their dispatch. This 76 pages is an addition to the 15 tomes of documents already turned over to prosecutors following the late March raid.
Despite the invitation, Rybakov was again turned away by prosecutors with no information but the instruction that ERC Bellona Chairman Alexander Nikitin appear at their offices to discuss the administrative charges detailed in their accusations.

Rybakov confirmed that Nikitin had been asked to attend Monday’s meeting, but was unable to do so because he was in international transit back to Oslo.
Rybakov also said that ERC Bellona’s charter stipulates that Nikitin is the responsible party for dealing with issues such as administrative fines, which raises questions, about why prosecutors have been continually summoning Rybakov, only to turn him away.
Bellona’s general manager Nils Bøhmer and Russia Group leader Vladislav Nikiforov on Monday and held meetings at the office of Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, in an effort to attract government attention to the ongoing plight of ERC Bellona.

Evidence of the use of American nuclear weapons in Syria has come to light.
…..We also have film and photographs from Syria showing something we have no other explanation for. Would Israel use such weapons? Do they have the means? Do they have a motive? Have they had the opportunity?
Do they have sufficient control of press organizations to encourage this kind of blatant recklessness?……

Striking evidence of the use of American EPW (Earth Penetrating Weapons) nuclear weapons in Syria has come to light. Experts say the proof is irrefutable.

Dramatic video footage from Syria has revealed startling evidence that counters Israel’s claims of “surgical strikes” on weapons headed to Lebanon.
What were said to be air strikes is now proven to have actually been artillery, something easily discernible to even an untrained observer.
What happens next is shocking. While artillery shells rain down on Syrian army positions, mobile Israeli artillery in direct support and even accompanying rebel forces inside Syria, a huge explosion occurs.
After analysis, it had become clear, Syria had come under attack by Israel using, not just nuclear weapons, but an American nuclear bunker buster bomb, one of several supplied to Israel to use against Iran, one of the last acts of the Bush/Cheney administration.
Submitted for analysis, the footage was compared with tests of the 37,000-pound MOB (Massive Ordnance Penetrator), designed by Boeing to be used against Iran’s underground facilities. There was no similarity whatsoever noted between the Syrian “event” and a conventional “bunker buster” including the GBU 57, the largest conventional weapon every to be used.
More Proof
Colonel James Hanke, former Defense Attaché and Liaison between the Pentagon and Netanyahu’s government , reviewed the footage.
He indicated that the GBU 57 is considered too high a risk for use because of its danger to the earth’s crust.
The Syrian/African fault line spreads into Israel. Were it to be subjected to this kind of explosive power, the threat of an earthquake doing significant damage in Israel is a reality. The nuclear bunker busters have far less penetrating power and, I am not saying that this was a nuclear device, not until more evidence is in, but the ‘event profile’ shows striking similarities.
The other problem with the GBU 57 is delivery. Only two aircraft are capable of delivering this weapon, the B-52 and B-2 Stealth Bomber. Israel does not have these aircraft.
Collapse of UD Air Force Command Structure, Again
Thus, if a MOP where used, it could have only been delivered by the United States Air Force, an organization reeling from recent disasters within its own ranks after a second lapse in nuclear weapons security in a five-year period was discovered at Minot Air Force Base in South Dakota.
Seventeen officers have been removed, a “house cleaning” of unprecedented scale. Back in 2008, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates ordered a restructuring of America’s nuclear security command after a 2007 incident at Minot.
A B-52 was loaded with thermonuclear weapons and flown off the base, violating 84 separate authorization protocols. The plane was later recovered over 1500 miles away under circumstances that have never been adequately explained. What is also not clear is whether the entire nuclear payload was recovered, complete and intact.
Nuclear Use in Iraq Proven
The most important consideration is whether any command organization, be it Israeli, American or any other, would be willing to use nuclear weapons. There is little question that their use has been advocated by both political and military leaders.

From fires to mysterious radioactive goldfish, nuke plants in the US & Europe have had some bizarre problems in the past few weeks. So the NRC is putting together a panel to determine the events leading to the death of 2 goldfish at Perry NPP on Ohio, while Fukushima continues to contaminate and decimate the Pacific Ocean endlessly.
When BP happened, a drastic effort was undertaken by scientists to form 5 panels and come up with 5 different plans for sealing the well. Too bad no one thought to do this for Fukushima. Maybe they are waiting for the reactors to start sinking from 100’s of tons of groundwater being pumped out of the reactor basements every day, or reactor 4 to fall apart, or an unstoppable fission chain reaction event, or…something.
Or maybe the international community wants to be able to place the blame squarely on Japan and Japan only, when things really get bad. Problem is, it’s the whole world’s problem, not just Japans.
