1. Russia can barely make nuclear submarines, that do not irradiate their crews ro death, after a few runs. Even their newest, most modern reactor designs are atrocious heaps of junk. Fhere new reactors leak like a sieve of tritium and the worst radionuclides. They have shitty containment. Their structural integrity is so poor, they can blow at any time. The fuel they use is unstable and dangerous.

   I predict they will kill a few thousand people, building their nuclear rocket-death-trap. They will permanently contaminate, aa few towns in siberia Santa Susana-style. They will ruin all life there. They give what workers that survive the project short lives and cancer, with great risk of reproducing.

   When they do get it going, they will probably have an accident shooting the nuclear motor into orbit. There will be a few hundred or more pounds of plutonium chunks and vapor dispersed on the earth.

   If they do get a nuclear rocket up, it will most likely irradiate its crew to death quite quickly or explode. This has occured several times with new russian submarine projects.

   Let us say the do get it past the moon. Again it will probably beging irradiating the crew along with the cosmic radiation already there. They will be radiation sick, within the first quarter of the journey to mars.

   • Well said, Doug

     The thing that bothers me, is that Russia is so secretive. I’m no fan of USA, but at least we do get to hear (eventually) of radiation leaks, accidents, nuclear projects going financially bust etc. Anyone would think that nothing ever goes wrong in Russia’s nuclear facilities, that its nuclear expansion is no problem financially etc etc. But somehow I doubt that!

     • I knew a Doctor who was a survivior of the Chazma Bay Reactor exposion. Nuclear rector exploded in the dock. The lady is Permanently disabled. Thousands of people ruined by it not hundreds.

       There was the kurkst nuclear sub explosion in the barrent sea. A recent one in 2011. Dozens more.

       The USA lies its ass off too. There were 3 meltdowns associated with the experimental sodium reactor, at Santa Susana. Occured between 1958 and 1971.

       People in murica are brainwashed to accept their bullshit. Areas of the western United states, are twice as irradiated as some of the bad places in russia. There have been Multiple nuclear sub accidents, from mureican nuclear subs. American nuclear sub shit dont stink so yu dont know about it.

     • Thank you, Doug. I don’t doubt that USA is far more radioactively polluted than we have heard, publicly. I just mean that in America there is some degree of freedom of the press, etc, whereas in Russia and China, there isn’t. So, I suspect that the cover-ups are equally bad, and perhaps worse, in totalitarian States like Russia and China. Of course, the other problem is simply language, as this website is limited to English language. We would, of course, miss any other language news. If you have any links to news items of interest, including about USA, please send them in comments.
