This video lost me right at the start.
I have no patience with conspiracy theorists who will connect the anti fluoride movement to the anti nuclear movement.
Fluoridation is one of the best, if not the very best, public health measures ever. It is not “medication” of drinking water. It is the replacing of a trace element necessary for healthy teeth and bones.
I’m waiting for the next whacky “anti” movement – perhaps anti the replacing of iodine, in areas where it is deficient?
It weakens and discredits the anti nuclear case, to be linked with these conspiracy theories. I’ve even come across climate change denialists who say that the climate change story is a fabrication by the nuclear lobby.
The anti nuclear movement is based on sound science and sound economics. We don’t need this conspiracy stuff.

- bbbbuuutt! Alex is covering Fukushima.. i thought that worth documenting.. Chris did well to mention the foundation issues.. there is a dire situation occurring.. i can forgive people not wanting flouride as a non choice item..

  Sir, this morning I had a new patient who presented having not been to the dentist for a long time. He explained that he had ‘very bad teeth’ and wanted to get them sorted out, but one of the main reasons for his bad teeth was his allergy to fluoride. A little cynical at first, I spent a while talking to him about this allergy. As a child he had a history of multiple collapses and after extensive testing it was decided that he had a severe allergy to the fluoride in his toothpaste. He has since avoided it at all costs and as a result is only able to clean his teeth with salt and some mouthwashes. When buying new oral hygiene products to try he is advised to send them for testing to check that they are fluoride free.
  
  Clinically he presents with very few teeth and those that are left are very heavily restored. Interestingly enough radiographically there was no new caries.
  
  According to the patient there are only around seven other such individuals in the UK who have this allergy to fluoride. My question to other practitioners is has anyone else come across this condition? Are there any suitable guidelines/products that anyone could recommend?

- You need to do more research than simply saying “conspiracy theorist”. There is more than one type of fluoride. Do some homework before attacking others. Did you know that Israel has just banned water fluoridation?

Even the World Health Organisation (hobbled though it is) joins all the national Academies of Science in recognising ionising radiation as a prime cause of cancer. I am prepared to go along with worldwide scientific consensus that there is no safe level of ionising radiation.

Similarly I am prepared to go along with worldwide medical, public health,and dental authorities that fluoridation is an excellent public health measure to protect teeth.

Furthermore I go along with scientific consensus that vaccination is a life-saving public health measure.

And scientific consensus that climate change is happening, and that human activities are the cause.

I recommend that you use some other website, not this, for crackpot attacks on fluoridation, vaccination, climate science etc.
