UK censored? Drinking water standards cover up!

last year in May/June 2011 i downloaded a copy of the water quality measurements for isotopes.. i got the base levels but had to wait until May/June 2012 for the data of 2011, to see the difference. However, the report has been “delayed” until September?

So, i searched the web for relevent information and struck gold.

The did not look at the cesium range.. only alpha and beta in the contaminants?
September would have been late for the Fukushima Iodines but we just had the Budapest Institute in Hungary with a large confirmed release that covered the whole of europe, then we had the Mercoule disaster where i believe more Iodine Lead etc was released..
heres the link to the report.. found it on html version
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:bj00u3JicBUJ:www.mildenhall.af.mil/shared/media/document/AFD-120629-008.pdf+&hl=en&gl=uk
heres the original, but link dead
This is the html version of the file
 http://www.mildenhall.af.mil/shared/media/document/AFD-120629-008.pdf.
[Google automatically generates html versions of documents as we crawl the web.]
The report is called the “consumer confidence report”  All American bases have to submit these reports to the uk authorities annually.
Interestingly they were  on the notifiable amount in September and in October for lead .
“..results in the table below include all chemi-

cals covered by the US EPA’s Safe Drinking Water
Act for which analysis was performed and concen-
trations of the chemicals that were detected from 1
January 2011 to 31 December 2011. Although
Lead is reported as reaching the maximum contami-
nant limit during CY 2011 sampling time frame,
RAF Mildenhall received zero exceedances for any
of the chemicals of health concern. At the time of
sampling the MCL for lead was 0.020 and was
reduced to the current standard of 0.015 in October
2011. The sample was taken in September 2011…”
The Pb Lead was likely from the Mercoule accident .. and both these incidents shows direct evidence of pollution hitting the uk, with plenty of Radon theat leaves Pb lead (the only nuclide available on the web this year?) to bioaccumulate.
And everyone was breathing this lethal isotopic cocktail in. the UK was the furthest country away, so the nearer countries got hit badly to.. other isotopes were measured but in smaller quantities if you can believe EURDEP the European radiation monitoring system. Even the professionals say it is not “fit for purpose” even though the emergency services are supposed to rely on it in case of an emergency.. a very dangerous situation indeed. and it looks like what little transparency there was is now gone.
And this was the cause of the large part of the contamination. The Budapest isotope Institute

Serious long lasting contamination found in hungary!

“..CRIIRAD warned in its letter of 15 November 2011 on the need quickly determine the source of contamination “because people close to the source could have been and still be exposed to large doses…” ”

(Part 2 of 2) Video Interview Transcript of Former Plant Manager of #Fukushima I Nuke Plant Masao Yoshida

http://ex-skf.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/part-2-of-2-video-interview-transcript.html

POSTED BY AREVAMIRPAL::LAPRIMAVERA

THURSDAY, AUGUST 16, 2012

“…Following the part 1 , here’s the part 2 of the video transcript of Mr. Masao Yoshida, former plant manager of Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant.

Again, the occasion was a small symposium in Fukushima on August 11, 2012, and Mr. Yoshida’s video interview was done in July, before he had cerebral hemorrhage.

The transcript is from Mainichi Shinbun article (8/11/2012), not from the video which only 140 or so people who attended the seminar got to watch….”

Qoute here translated by EXSKF by Mr Yoshida

“…In addition to Reactor 1 [‘s explosion], Reactor 3’s explosion made the strongest impact [on me]. In retrospect it was a hydrogen explosion, but at that time we didn’t know what was happening. I thought something catastrophic had happened. About the explosions. I could die, and all people in the Anti-Seismic Building could die, at any moment. It was particularly so after the explosion at Reactor 3. That much debris flying all over. When I first heard that several people were missing, safety of tens of people was not confirmed yet. I thought, maybe more than 10 people just died. Then, more information started to come in, confirming the safety of people, though there were some with minor injuries. And I feel very sorry for the Self Defense Force. The SDF troop came to supply water and they were caught in the explosion and were injured. I am very sorry. One consolation is that injuries were not life-threatening, and I feel as if it was some kind of divine providence….”

Nice summary from the admin at EXKSF here..

“…All Mr. Yoshida said was the plant needs to be made more stable, in a proper way – replacing Kanaflex hoses would be one, removing the debris and clutter would be another – so that the plant’s various operations can run in a smooth, predictable manner, with no accidents like small fires and water leaks, not to mention major accidents.

By the way, this “Yoshida said the plant is not stable” duly came back to Japan as a credible piece of news in English, but it quickly disappeared among more sensational headlines (like butterfly mutation due to Fukushima radiation, for one)….”

Japan showing how it manages well WITHOUT nuclear power

With summer soon ending, fears that Japan couldn’t function without nuclear power during summer periods of heaviest electricity demand are being proven unfounded.

Dire predictions of what would happen to the Japanese economy without restarting reactors haven’t held up.

As More About Fukushima Contamination and Casualties Is Known, Japan Proceeding Without Nuclear Reactors,  Samuel S. Epstein Cancer prevention expert, Prof. emeritus at U. of IL School of Public Health, Chicago HUFFINGTON POST, 16 Aug 12,    “….the impact of Fukushima continues…..
………..Aside from the changes in health, Fukushima has also had a major impact on public policy. . Within days of the meltdowns, Germany shut some reactors, four of them permanently; the Merkel government then announced a plan to phase out all remaining reactors by 2022. Belgium and Switzerland soon followed with similar phase-out plans.
Italy, which has no operating reactors, placed a moratorium on plans to build new ones. Newly-elected French president Hollande campaigned on a pledge to drop the percent of French electricity from nuclear power from 75% to 50% by 2030.

But the biggest development has taken place in Japan,….. Continue reading

Japan’s media controlled – not reporting deaths of nuclear evacuees

Complete Information Control”: Japan newspapers receive much frightening info that’s covered up — Some evacuees died from acute symptoms yet not reported — Journalists scared  http://enenews.com/complete-information-control-newspapers-receive-tons-frightening-information-covered-fukushima-journalist-frightened-govt-died-acute-symptoms-never-reported   August 16th, 2012  By ENENews  According to the news received yesterday, 6 evacuees out of 10 from a certain area of Namiecho who relocated themselves in Yonezawa died of acute symptoms (it was said leukemia), and that horrified the remaining evacuees. They presented this fact to the administration and medias, however, the media didn’t report it at all. They said they are scared of the government…

.. Local newspaper companies receive tons of frightening information, however, all are covered up. After the protest that took place in front of the PM’s residence, Tokyo Simbun expressed its regret to be not able to report it. Tokyo Simbun is a conscientious company. What are the other companies doing?..

.. Extracted from Mailing List of Fukushima Nuclear Disaster complainant. This document represents the actual situation of Fukushima. Majority are aware of the ongoing crisis. Complete information control is being carried out. My little brother is a local journalist of Fukushima, and he told me the government keeps a tight lid on information and it frightens him. Google Translation

Secrecy and un-safety in nuclear reactor designs – a first hand report

Fukushima They Knew, Nation of Change, Greg Palast
http://www.nationofchange.org/fukushima-they-knew-1345037631 16 Aug 12
I’ve seen a lot of sick stuff in my career, but this was sick on a new level. Here was the handwritten log kept by a senior engineer at the nuclear power plant:

Wiesel was very upset. He seemed very nervous. Very agitated. . . . In fact, the plant was riddled with problems that, no way on earth, could stand an earth- quake. The team of engineers sent in to inspect found that most of these components could “completely and utterly fail” during an earthquake.

“Utterly fail during an earthquake.” And here in Japan was the quake and here is the utter failure.
The warning was in what the investigations team called The Notebook, which I’m not supposed to have.  Good thing I’ve kept a copy anyway, because the file cabinets went down with my office building ….

WORLD TRADE CENTER TOWER 1, FIFTY-SECOND FLOORNEW YORK, 1986
Two senior nuclear plant engineers were spilling out their souls and files on our huge conference table, blowing away my government investigations team with the inside stuff about the construction of the Shoreham, New York, power station.

The meeting was secret. Very secret. Their courage could destroy their careers: No engineering firm wants to hire a snitch, even one who has saved thousands of lives. They could lose their jobs; they could lose everything. They did. That’s what happens. Continue reading

USA farmers like Obama’s renewable energy policies

Many Farmers Favor Obama Renewable-Energy Policies Over GOP’s  http://atlantablackstar.com/2012/08/16/many-farmers-favor-obama-renewable-energy-policies-over-gops/  August 16, 2012  Rural America almost always votes reliably red. But many farmers say they’re growing uneasy with the Republican presidential ticket’s opposition to renewable-energy policies that have helped them economically — and that could hurt the GOP this year in traditionally friendly farm country.
Presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney opposes a wind-energy production tax credit that has helped farmers bring in thousands of dollars in extra income by leasing their land to wind producers. And Romney’s running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., opposes a national mandate for ethanol production, a policy that’s driven up demand — and, some say, prices — for corn.
The ethanol mandate, part of the reformulated fuel standard established in a 2007 energy law, has come under increasing attack as the drought continues to send crop prices soaring, but farmers still say they need it and other renewable-energy policies to maintain economic growth.
While Romney stands by his support of the ethanol mandate, Ryan’s record of full-throated opposition to it rubs corn and crop farmers the wrong way. In addition, Ryan’s budget roadmap proposes deep cuts in renewable-energy and nutrition programs that help farmers.
Meanwhile, the Obama administration has been doing steady outreach in farm states for months, spearheaded by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, a former Iowa governor, who has held a slew of events with farmers aimed at highlighting the administration’s support for farm-friendly renewable-energy policy. And on Monday, Obama for the first time brought farm policy to the center of his campaign, slamming Ryan and House Republicans for failing to move a sweeping farm bill this year.
“We’re delighted that the president is talking about the farm bill. This is the first time that I can recall presidential candidates debating farm legislation,” said Roger Johnson, president of the National Farmers Union, which has not endorsed a presidential candidate. “We’ve been encouraging him to talk about it. Secretary Vilsack has been talking about it for a long time. If there’s anything that unites us in the agriculture sector, it’s the desire to have a farm bill passed by September.”
But Johnson said that Romney’s opposition to the wind PTC and Ryan’s record of opposition to the ethanol mandate “are a big problem for us. We support renewables…  Read more: Coral Davenport, National Journal
