Iram’s nuclear scientists targeted by Israel’s Mossad?

Is Israel’s Mossad Targeting Iran’s Nuclear Scientists? – TIME, 1 Dec 10, The Iranian nuclear expert assassinated in Tehran on Monday was the top scientist and senior manager of Iran’s nuclear effort. Majid Shahriari was killed when an explosive charge placed in his car was detonated by remote control after he climbed into the vehicle, according to a Western intelligence expert with knowledge of the operation.
The assassination carried the signature of Israel’s Mossad, which has carried out similar operations on foreign soil over the decades. Typically, a team of agents reconnoiters the target and his routines over a period of months, assessing vulnerabilities and opportunities to escape afterward. Most of the operatives are usually on their way out of the country by the time the charge is detonated by a member who sees the target enter the booby-trapped car. “It’s like a suit,” says the intelligence expert. “An assassination must be custom-made……………”Is Israel’s Mossad Targeting Iran’s Nuclear Scientists? – TIME

A sailor’s testimony on Monte Bello nuclear bomb tests

Monte Bello Veteran « Paul Langley’s Nuclear History Blog,  By  Mr N.R. Batley , 30 Nov 10, “I served on HMS Narvik for the Monte Bello Islands tests the only protection we had was a piece of negative film in a flat badge type holder that we pinned on to our clothes by means of a safety pin that was allways coming lose and being lost the badge that is. At no time did we have any medical check ups or questions as to how we felt. I have a photo that would show how close to the bombs being tested we were with the only safeguard roll your sleeves down and turn your collar up on our no8 shirts. If required I would give evidence but be quick I have cancer heart trouble.” Monte Bello Veteran « Paul Langley’s Nuclear History Blog

A soldier’s testimony of Christmas Island’s nuclear bomb tests

HMS Cavalier « Paul Langley’s Nuclear History Blog,  By   SIDNEY FANNING  :November 28, 2010 In 1963 whilst on HMS Cavalier we was ordered to go to Christmas Island for five days on the way home from the FES. When the ship eventually got home, tests upon the eyes were carried out, which I have been told is to find out whether you have been eradiated or not. Many of my shipmates have died in the 50′s and 60′s, and those of us that are left have many diseases, some associated with radiation. HMS Cavalier « Paul Langley’s Nuclear History Blog

China should crack down on nuclear smuggling to North Korea

“China does not place enough of a priority on counter-proliferation intelligence. According to Western intelligence officials, Chinese intelligence agencies do not allocate enough resources to understanding and detecting illicit nuclear trade conducted by North Korea and Iran inside China. In addition, the government has not done enough to investigate the export violations of which it is aware.”

Letter from China: Lips and Teeth : The New Yorker, November 24, 2010 by Evan Osnos “…..according to David Albright and Paul Brannan of the the Institute for Science and International Security, North Korea relies on smuggling networks in which it “procures for its uranium enrichment program either from China or by using it as a transshipment point.” Continue reading

UK used atomic test soldiers as radiation ‘guinea pigs’

The Government of the day had to discover the effects a nuclear bomb would have, not only on the infrastructure but the effects it would have for the human race over a prolonged period of time. It was decided the Armed Forces would be used as ‘Human Guinea Pigs’ in order to discover the effects radiation would have on the Human Body.

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE BRITISH NUCLEAR TESTS,  Paul Langley’s Nuclear History Blog, by Dave Whyte One of the ‘Human Guinea Pigs’ 26 Nov 10, After WWII the British Government decided they would develop their own nuclear deterrent and made plans to conduct the tests at remote areas in Australia and the Pacific as they were not fully aware of the devastating power these devices were capable of producing. Nuclear bomb test veterans were exposed to unnecessary risks

we look back now at the veterans of atom bomb tests and conclude that, whatever the law says, these men were exposed to unnecessary risk.

Soldiers deserve better treatment, Manchester Evening News, November 23, 2010 …..All but one of ten test cases were deemed to have been brought to court too late, and with veterans unable to prove the Ministry Of Defence was negligent, and that radiation was the probable cause of illness. So the veterans fail at law. Continue reading

British nuclear cover-up will affect atomic veterans legal case

The Redfern Report reveals that scientists and doctors from the National Health Service ( NHS ) , the Medical Research Council ( MRC ) , the National Radiological Protection Board ( NRPB ) and the Atomic Weapons Establishment ( AWE ) examined and then destroyed evidence of exposure to ionising radiation with the aid of coroners and pathologist to enable the Ministry of Defence to avoid accountability for future damage claims . These are facts veterans and widows are passing to the legal team of Rosenblatts ..

Sexism in airport radiation scanning: pilots exempt, flight attendants not

Unions representing both groups are advising their members not to go through the scanners because of concerns about radiation exposure. The dose per scan is trivial, but radiation exposure is cumulative.

What happened to UK nuclear veterans’ removed body parts?

What happened to the removed body parts , organs and tissue ? The Redfern Report states they were destroyed .A very convenient destruction of evidence ….the Redfern Inquiry shows the NRPB was explicitly and deeply involved in the process to remove of body parts from the corpses , examining them for radiation damage and then destroying the evidence

What the UK Veterans think – Redfern « Paul Langley’s Nuclear History Blog. 22 Nov 10. “…just when we UK nuc vets needed it , another nail has been hammered into the Ministry of Defence’s cold war policy of excluding nuclear test veterans, our premature widows and genetically damaged children from truth and justice .The Redfern Inquiry Report ( Michael Redgrave QC ) published 16th Nov , together with the refusal of the Ministry of Defence to release 500 documents into the Court should just about destroy the Government’s credibility to any longer defend the indefensible in the Atomic Veterans Group Litigation ,…….
