Today: Aw gee, I wish I were smart enough to be confident about nuclear wastes!

It’s so comforting to know that both France and Britain are assuring the energy future with fleets of nuclear reactors! How clever Emmanuel Macron and Boris Johnson must be!
They are happy that they might one day get a way to store their existing piles of radioactive trash.
But they have no idea what to do with the future piles of toxic wastes from the wonderful new nuclear fleets.
But they’ve worked it all out. They won’t be around, to deal with that horrible problem, which will be left to our grandchildren. What a clever idea, and I’m sure they are grateful to the nuclear lobby, for all that lovely campaign money!

There is nuclear waste everywhere. Even in city dumps from Americium smoke detectors. and thorium welding rods. Sigh
