  2. The real question is, why is America so focused on military spending in a time of relative peace. The only wars you are fighting are manufactured wars that throw money at military weapons producers, while paying rank and file members of the armed forces less than federally-mandated minimum wages.
No, America does not need more military spending, more modern weapons and delivery technologies. If they are going to go to war–AGAINST WHOM EXACTLY–it is best they have to at least see themselves murdering actual enemy soldiers on the battlefield, rather than watching people get blown to bits on a screen as if it were a movie, in order to understand the real effects of war.
Michèle Florey may be a military lackey, but everything does not fall on her shoulders alone. It falls on every American who believes the bipartisan party line that America needs the biggest and best-equipped army in the world. As in both the World Wars, if you need them, the soldiers will come. Until then, it”s all unnecessary bluster–damned expensive military bluster!
