Mordechai Vannunu in court today in Israel – Best wishes from us all here at nuclear-news.net
We here at nuclear-news.net thank the Israeli Government for the recent privileges given to Mordechai over these past years but call for his release, It is time. All the information he whistle-blew on is in the public domain and in fact, so much more exists out there. We ask the courts to take all this into mitigation and release him from his semi bondage in Israel. His court case is later today (22/December/2016) and the thoughts and prayers of the anti nuclear activists who wish that nuclear weapons will never be used might be heard by the authorities in Israel.

#EUHRC #UNHRC In Court Tomorrow Vanunu Mordechai continues to be persecuted for being one of the greatest whistleblowers of all time – he spilled the beans on the open secret of the Israeli N-weapons program. His 2016 prosecution is NOT being actively reported by the main stream press and Vanunu is facing trial again this week – please extend him your personal support on his FB page : Vanunu Mordechai

RE: “The News That Matters about the Nuclear Industry” and “the recent privileges given to Mordechai over these past years”
Vanunu served 18 yrs. in jail for telling the truth about Israel’s nukes and ever since ‘freed’ from behind bars in 2004, Vanunu has endured under virtual house arrest and draconian restrictions that deny basic human rights.
Some restrictions have been enforceable -such as Vanunu is denied the right to leave Israel -but many others are UNENFORCEABLE such as he is now “allowed” the ‘privilege’ of speaking to foreigners “for 30 minutes”!
Please learn more from Vanunu himself in “30 Minutes with Vanunu” taped a few weeks after his underreported FREEDOM of SPEECH trial began in 2006 [for speaking to foreign media in 2004 such as Amy Goodman]-this excerpt begins with Vanunu noting “the media, congress and the West Bank are all under Zionist occupation”:
THIS American was only a writer in Jerusalem when I met Vanunu in 2005, but I realized my childhood dream and became a reporter because Vanunu told me:
“Did you know that President Kennedy tried to stop Israel from building atomic weapons? In 1963, he forced Prime Minister Ben Guirion to admit the Dimona was not a textile plant, as the sign outside proclaimed, but a nuclear plant. The Prime Minister said, ‘The nuclear reactor is only for peace.’
“When Johnson became president, he made an agreement with Israel that two senators would come every year to inspect. Before the senators would visit, the Israelis would build a wall to block the underground elevators and stairways. From 1963 to ’69, the senators came, but they never knew about the wall that hid the rest of the Dimona from them.
“Nixon stopped the inspections and agreed to ignore the situation. As a result, Israel increased production. In 1986, there were over two hundred bombs. Today, they may have enough plutonium for ten bombs a year…”
