With some 18,000 subscribers Dana has been touted as a “leader” of the anti nuclear movement but as Fukushima 311 Watchdogs on Facebook gets some 11,000 subscribers, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in the UK has some 30,000 members and this does not include a recent surge in membership from Scotland, Wales and England due to the promotion of no nuclear by The extremely popular Jeremy Corbin. I also do not include the tens of thousands Taiwanese activists, Indian activists, Japanese activists etc etc who visit many of the more moderate anti nuclear web pages and social media formats.
Dana remembered
Dana Durnsford occupies a small part of the nuclear debate. When his You Tube channel began streaming his show and saying that the west coast of Canada was a dead zone, to say the least I was a bit concerned! I was on the Rainbow Warriors on Facebook and we crowd sourced an investigation with some Canadian colleagues (including First Nations) to find out what the situation was. We quickly discovered over a couple of days that the coast was still the same as it was in previous years. This was testimony from witnesses that I have grown to trust so I was distrustful as to Danas Claims but decided to see what evidence he could supply.
Over the coming months he sought Funding for a boat and camera equipment but no radiation detectors of any sort. Further videos of people showing a thriving environment on You Tube made me doubt further the veracity of his claims. Also, his aggressive stance and lack of multiple sources for news weakened my interest and I quickly moved on.
A right to speak
My general attitude to Dana was that he was providing a service to those that thought that the effects from Fukushima were dire. Of course there are many viewpoints to the ultimate effects from the Fukushima Daichi nuclear disaster in march 2011.
My view was that there is room for debate on this issue. I also thought that the debatably entertaining way that Dana discusses nuclear matters might encourage people to learn more on the nuclear issue so the show had a more serious educational aspect to it (even though some of the science and posits might be questioned).
Sentenced to what?
So, to the issue of what might happen to Dana? The use of harassment is a thorny issue on social media. In the UK Chris Spivey was recently charged for a similar style of blogging. Leaving aside the issues on free speech for the moment I will quickly describe his present situation. 
Chris has a short suspended prison sentence hanging over him and is under instruction to not have on his website any information related to the court case (Lee Rigby) nor can he discuss this news publicly. Chris has continued his blogging as normal, still using an aggressive style but with some sensible caution. So Dana should take heart. My co host Jimmy Hagan contacted Chris Spivey for a statement and he said that if it is a first offence a prison sentence is unlikely and a suspended sentence with blogging restrictions would apply.
Of course the Pro nuclear media is trying to milk this for everything it is worth but we need to bear in mind that Dana`s views only represent a small fraction of the worlds anti nuclear campaigners. In the diverse world-wide web there is room for many opinions and views.
What learning can we all take from this?
There is an important point to be had here for bloggers more generally and that is the need for caution considering that harassment cases are an effective tool for corporate and government interests and we as bloggers should be mindful to avoid such pitfalls. We should be prepared to adapt to this sort of pressure on our freedom of speech. The main points we have to raise do not include personal attacks but science based evidence and personal testimonials and independent science research where science research is being suppressed.

Hi Flying Cuttlefish, It would appear that Dana actually did threaten people. There are video montages on you tube showing that. My point is that Dana should have been more careful using this tactic. yeah, I listened to all of Dana’s shows and he goes off on a tear but not any more than the financial show YuT00bers do every day when they blab about the Fed this-n-that… or Alex Jones blabbing he’s gonna beat up this and that so-n-so politician he doesn’t like. It’s called free speech.
He stated they should be hung (and they should!) … not that he had a rope and was at their door step. Half the YuT00b bloggers would be in jail by now if that musing were construed as actual threat.
And those mash-up vids are made by one paid operative using different screen names.
Science and medical professionals who use their credentials to kill the unsuspecting public ought to be hung. They are murderers each and every one of them. They know the names of the isotopes that have hundreds of thousands of years’ half life and the tonnage of plutonium blasted into the air and water. To lie about that to get poisoned food on pantry shelves and contaminated water into taps is criminal. Not calling them out.
My 2 cents.
I have been following Dana for about 9 years, In the beginning of his you-tube career he was a 911 truther, I found him particularly courageous due to the fact he said he was a paraplegic bound to a wheelchair for the last 20 years due to a diving accident at work. Needless to say, I was shocked when a couple years later I saw him walk onto a boat, Dana is a pure con artist and I take the time to inform people about him when I come across something like this story, so that other people do not get swindled by this man too, A quick search on you-tube, ” Opie and Anthony Crazy Newfie” will show Dana explaining to them that he is a paraplegic. I don’t have the words to describe how disgusted I am with him,
He does seem to have had a shady career and after Opie and Anthony took a closer look at him he switched to the Fukushima theme.. It took Canadian anti nukers only a short time to prove his claims wrong but that has not stopped him.. Most anti nuclear activists who have looked at the problems concerning Fukushima daichi have written him off as a credible source and in fact he does more damage to the anti nuclear movement than many pro nuclear activists imo .. His is disabled by the bends – a serious crippling effect of a diving accident.
Those who followed him from 3-11 in the very beginning know more about his diving accident than newer viewers.
In case you are mislead by tools like Opie & A (and are not trolling) you can catch up on Dana’s fact finding on today’s post where he is vindicated by internal documents released by wikileaks.
Ehen he kicked the bejeezus out of his studio, fixed a propeller on the boat and travelled thousands of miles on a boat alone he did not seem disabled.. I had contact from a follower from ten years ago who said that they follwed him when he was into 9-11 and had his blog on the Alex Jones Web site.. He only got into the Fukushima story since 2013 when he did his first boat trip.. I did hear him say he had the bends and was permanently disabled and was surprised when he became undisabled as was his early follower.. Have you links from wikileaks direct to prove that the Ocean is fully contaminated? I did an article on Stratfor from the original STRATFOR files published on wikileaks that said that they would be monitoring UK based anti nuclear activists.. I was later targeted by the security services and the Domestic Extremist police unit (later to be housed next to MI5) and am in contact with the Lawyers concerning the Pitchford Inquiry into POlice Spy cops (Domestic Extremist squad) .. ANd my friend Chris Busby has had at least 2 operations against him that I am aware by MI5 and likely survielled by the Domestic Extremist squad and Special Branch (On behalf of the Ministry Of Defence UK ) .. I caught yesterdays Dana broadcast, It is long and did not show anything that we did not know or claim on nuclear-news.net, Fukushima 311 Watchdogs and many of our friends in Japan who have blogs.. Regards Shaun PS Opie and A did not mention Fukushima reports from Dana either but did mention 9-11 stuff he was into.. It seems to me that Dana had to find another viewer ship after being slated by them.. It also seems to me that Dana has done the same thing to me and Chris as he tried to do to them.. History repeats and drama gets clicks.. he is all about clicks and money imo .. He has only just found the global intelligence files that were published 3 years ago..

I have followed Dana since 3-11 and have posted news (as it grew) from 3-11 … so I just differ on that point.
Dana does not have spinal chord injury, paralysis. He has mobility limitation, hence his vulnerability to violent thugs.
He seems to not have huge “clicks” as heavy entities like Stratfor, U Vic, the gov. of Canada, the DoE, the FBI, the US intel apparatus and other deep pockets have targeted him and his supporters.
I also have outside contacts supporting his criticism of phony ‘activists’ who spread disinfo widely.
Ask yourself … why did big US scientists trek to Russia after Chernobyl but 100% shun Japan after Fukushima.
These experts all know.

Where is the evidence for this collusion? surely it would have come up on the wikileaks stuff? And btw Chris was invited to the Equadorian Embassy to meet Julian Assange recently, did you know that? Has Julian contacted Dana? From my perspective Chris Busby has credibility, knowledge and support from the wikileaks team .. they know what is what .. They know Dana is not worth the effort or they would be giving him leaked info .. Dana is nearly 4 years late with his wikileaks “exclusive” .. except I covered the STRATFOR files after they were realased.. Has he new information? the information that you can find on this blog and enenews since the Fukushima disaster began has covered all that and incidents of polydactyl in Fukushima (like Chernobyl, Hiddeen cases of Thyroid Cancers in under 5`s (proves radiation damage as well as the other evidence that can be found here as well in the last year) .. This is documented, evidential and can be proven to anyone .. Danas evidence is not so well documented unfortunately. He does not even have reliable geiger counter readings of the west coast to compare if the units 1,2,3 fuel pools catch fire and dump lots of radiation on that coast. In act he doesnt think that will happen because e thinks it has already happened.. A false sense of security imo
The UK experts and US experts are all over Japan promoting its safety (G Thomas for example) and US firms are making good money “decommissioning” whilst WPPLLC aka DENTSU are doing a fine job on the PR side with social media and the MSM .. We do not see Dana discussing this aspect whist we have been discussing this since 2011 (on enenews then here)

MixBit is a new social networking site created by Chad Hurley & Steve Chen ,two of three former PayPal employees who created you tube. MixBit is being pushed out for free by media world wide like gods . You tubes was created in February 2005 and Google has been cannibalizing it since late 2006 and used those parts to create Google plus . Mix bit allows users to upload 16 second clips and advertizing is only a 30 seconds wait . Mix bit is a second longer than face-book ,i can see the disappointed look in the Zuckerbergs eyes right now . A incredible 10 seconds longer than twitters vine. 16 sec clips are good for long farts , 16 seconds is a almost impossible short time to tell a joke . How long before someone proposes and the world has to wait for the next clip to see is she accepts .
On the bizarre side you can upload a total of one hr or 16 second clips 225 times and mix bits a brain freeze, . Here is the kicker , anyone can down load your clip and mix bit them . There is no comment sections so its perfect for politicians and our dear leaders . They can write their own speeches when the lobbyist leave for the day with no fear of blow-back in the non existence comment sections .
MixBit has no ratings , the trolls will lose their minds . You get no subscriber counts , and there goes the incentive for celebrity’s . MixBit will have no view counters , i guess if you count the views on 16 second clips you will destroy main stream media in clicks figuratively and literally, its their last refuge. MixBit has no copyrights by proxy so MixBit can monetize everything and with free clips i bet the media is in party mode tonight . How cute .
Didn,t we just bludgeon face-books Instagram into submission a few months back for attempting to gain copyrights on everything you upload so they could do exactly that . We have to defend freedom tirelessly till the end of time but ex pay pal employees only have to win once to destroy freedom for ever for a Duck . It was on Danas infowars page and likely some comedic BS .. nothing about fukushima .. This was around the time he attacked Oppie and A and then they responded t the alt right newbie.. he then left that scene and found another one.. earlier on he was putting together copyrighted material on you tube (music) and was pissed when you tube clamped down on it.. he had put together a huge data set of this material and nothing about nuclear activism can be found anywhere .. he claims to have been an anti nuclear activist before fukushima but i can find NO evidence of this.. He has never admitted to being on enenews either and if he was he would know I am not a pro nuke shill .. If he was an enewser what was his handle? It was the ONLY viable anti nuke blog of any decent size.. And if he was an enewswer was he also on enenews admins floridaoilspill website also? what was his handle there? Why did he cast doubt on enenews recently because admin doesnt post his “findings” ?? These are the questions I would ask him if he would engage with me while not pretending to be somene else .. After this exchange with Dana FreakbeakUpsex ID , Dana then said i had been attacking him behind his back for YEARS and posted disparaging videos etc about me.. Instead of admitting who he was then and asking for a live debate (that I wanted for some time but he would not engage with) .. I have some other stuff about him on video but cant be bothered spending the time to put it together.. On his rant video you can see his viewers on his last ten hours of video only watch an average 7 minutes (you can see the stats as he goes to close the channel down after Kicking all the equipment that people had donated to him..

Dana did receive two geiger counters, one from me (plus a laptop for the graphs) and a geiger counter from the now deceased, Geoff Palko. But, I’ve never seen any data posted or reported by him.
That is interesting.. He could have tested mushrooms and fungai near the coast as well as testing seaweed .. to name but a few things he could have done.. I put up alot of gieger videos and covered some heavy pollution in the UK from nuke sources.. He could be doing stuff like that as well.. Thank you for your message ..

i think you would just need arms to put a Geiger up on the seaweed etc.. i did see him fixing a prop shaft and walking around his boat though and thought he had some kind of mobility.. and apparently has 2 Geiger but never used them.. He also had some passengers from time to time i believe.. just my observations Dud..

Dana is for real. There is a mass extinction event occurring and he’s brave enough to talk about it. He isnt always claiming to be alt news then marginalizing pioneering alt news sites while promoting establushment articles. There are a lot of ltd hangouts and his is not that kind. His stats are good and his shows always include news from sources. Anyway thanks for some useful leads.
