Living Near Fukushima Daiichi In The US (Arnie Gundersen)
Published on 23 Feb 2014

Maggie and Arnie speak at The Green Mountain Global Forum about the risks of living near one of the twenty-three US nuclear reactors that are identical to the four that exploded at Fukushima Daiichi (Mark 1 Boiling Water Reactors). The “Lake Wobegone” effect (where each community thinks their nuclear plant is better than average) convinces the 23 local communities in which there is a Mark 1 BWR that a nuclear accident couldn’t possibly happen at their nuclear reactor. The experiences at Fukushima Daiichi, Chernobyl and Three Mile Island, prove that faith in nuclear safety is unfounded.

and all of these talks are done by Gundersen just because he wants to share what he claims to know, NOT because he wants to get rich on the donations – people should look at Gundersen’s luxurious near lakeside home in Burlington and then ask if their money is going to the right cause – far as these GE reactors; the reactors are not inherently unsafe – they are not exactly the same as the Fukushima ones – all US ones have had their exhaust systems modified to minimize if not eliminate possibility of a hydrogen explosion – what actually breached the secondary containment at the Fukushima reactors and permitted the atmospheric release of boiled off fission products (mainly cesium and iodine plus inert xenon gas) – look up this address in Google – it is public record because Gundersen also uses the home as his place of business – [address deleted because i like gundersen, π arclight2011]
but does he wear silk underwear roger or just normal??
the reactors have holes in the bottom that is considered a bit of a design flaw to some..
the fuel pools are not easily accessible in case of discharges and they are using the fuel rods for longer and weakening the casings like in france? or the UK? etc? they get higher performance the longer they leave the rods in for i hear? any comment on that?
peace sean
ps isnt a bit rude to post addresses on the web? i will delete it and leave the rest for the intrepid investigator π
Is any of this supposed to make sense or just the Gospel according to Arnie as interpreted by his good buddy Sean McGee – Gundersen lies about spent fuel pools, so what exacty is the point. According to Zillow, the house sold to Gundersen for $372K, which is quite pricy for Burlington, VT – look up [redacted] and see for yourself. – What Gundersen never will do is impart FACTS – you almost never do, but you sure do watch these things closely – less than 5 minutes after my comment!
lol!
$372K
you cant buy a one bedroom apartment for that in any half decent areas in the UK.. a three bedroom house at the bottom end is about 500,000 dollars..
i didnt realise gundy was such a cheapskate!! you live and learn i suppose π
