Union reaches deal at Seabrook Nuclear Power Plan – “for now”

SEABROOK (WGME) — A last-minute deal will keep union workers at the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant on the job, at least for now.

The union reached a deal Sunday afternoon that members will vote on Thursday.

Union president Ted Jenis says the deal includes a two-and-a-quarter percent pay increase in each of the next three years.

This plan gives both sides until the end of 2014 to come to an agreement on scheduling.

The union represents 226 employees at the nuclear plant.
