The hospital imported equipment to measure internal exposure from USA.
It’s 2.3m high, 90cm wide, 60cm depth, weighs 1 ton. They announced it
takes only 10 ~ 30 seconds to measure internal exposure, which is
faster than usual whole body counter equipment to detect radiation
accumulated in body. This new equipment was supposed to be able to
identify the part of body where radiation is accumulated.

They are the first hospital to introduce this equipment in Japan.

However, on 9/28/2012, Technohill, the Japanese distributer of this equipment commented on their website that this equipement cannot measure internal exposure unlike the hospital explained on their press conference.

distributer. They state Fast Track-Fibre can only measure radiation
attached to the outside of body, can not detect internal exposure.

Technohill is preparing for the legal action.

They adds, “The maker is Mirion Technologies(RADOS)GmbH from Germany,
not from America. The hospital only imported this equipment from
America. The maker does not know the hospital purchased this
equipment.”   The price was 84,370 USD.
