The News That Matters about the Nuclear Industry Fukushima Chernobyl Mayak Three Mile Island Atomic Testing Radiation Isotope

A watershed week in nuclear news

A bit of good news -The Path to a Sustainable Civilisation

It’s a watershed moment – on 2 counts:

1. Ukraine. The determination of the USA-led Western countries to bring Ukraine into NATO is a red flag to Russia, and current events, indicate that the West, and its charismatic super-star Zelensky, will not countenance any negotiated end to the war.

2. The IAEA’s Rafael Grossi has made it clear that the Fukushima nuclear wastewater MUST be emptied into the Pacific, to ensure that this practice is accepted, for the continued growth of the nuclear industry world-wide.

  1. RFK Jr. Rips Biden On Sending Cluster Bombs To Ukraine
    Tampa bay free Press
Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.) blasted the Biden administration Friday after announcing that the Department of Defense would transfer cluster munitions to Ukraine.

The Biden administration announced plans to primarily send M864 155-millimeter artillery shells, known as Dual-Purpose Improved Conventional Munitions (DPICM), which dispense smaller explosive weapons over an area to attack personnel and vehicles, reversing a previous decision to withhold the weapons.

“Cluster bombs are munitions so horrific for civilians that more than a hundred nations have signed an international treaty banning them,” Kennedy, who is challenging President Joe Biden for the Democratic Party’s nomination for president in the 2024 election, posted on Twitter. “Now the Biden administration is preparing to send them to Ukraine.”

“These munitions scatter bomblets across the landscape,” Kennedy said in a follow-on post. “Many fail to explode — until children pick them up later. They have caused thousands of injuries and deaths to civilians.”

Cluster munitions are weapons that release or eject smaller submunitions over a wide area. They are designed to kill personnel and destroy vehicles, but they pose a significant risk to civilians as well.

Cluster munitions work by releasing a large number of submunitions, or bomblets, from a single container. The bomblets are typically dispersed over an area of several football fields, and they can be armed with a variety of different warheads, including anti-personnel, anti-tank, and incendiary.

When a cluster munition is released, the bomblets are dispersed by either a parachute or a spinning disc. The bomblets are designed to explode on impact, but a significant number of them often fail to detonate. These unexploded bomblets can pose a deadly hazard to civilians long after the conflict has ended.

  2. THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA IS CENSORING RFK JRS CAMPAIGN AND ATTEMPTING TO SMEARI IT INTO IRRELEVANCY

It’s time to come home and restore this country.

    From Rfk jr campaign site

In the long term, a nation’s strength does not come from its armies. America spends as much on weaponry as the next nine nations combined, yet the country has grown weaker, not stronger, over the last 30 years. Even as its military technology has reigned supreme, America has been hollowing out from the inside. We cannot be a strong or secure nation when our infrastructure, industry, society, and economy are infirm.

A high priority of a Kennedy administration will be to make America strong again. When a body is sick, it withdraws its energy from the extremities in order to nourish the vital organs. It is time to end the imperial project and attend to all that has been neglected: the crumbling cities, the antiquated railways, the failing water systems, the decaying infrastructure, the ailing economy. Annual defense-related spending is close to one trillion dollars. We maintain 800 military bases around the world. The peace dividend that was supposed to come after the Berlin Wall fell was never redeemed. Now we have another chance.

As President, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. will start the process of unwinding empire. We will bring the troops home. We will stop racking up unpayable debt to fight one war after another. The military will return to its proper role of defending our country. We will end the proxy wars, bombing campaigns, covert operations, coups, paramilitaries, and everything else that has become so normal most people don’t know it’s happening. But it is happening, a constant drain on our strength. It’s time to come home and restore this country.

RFK Jr hauls in over $6M since launching Democratic primary challenge against Biden and 3 million in 3 days

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. hauls in over $6 million in fundraising since launching 2024 Democratic primary challenge against President Biden.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. brought in more than $6 million in fundraising since launching his Democratic presidential primary challenge against President Biden on April 19, his campaign announced on Thursday.

Kennedy’s campaign touted that the environmental lawyer hauled in “an average of $1 million a day” for the final three days of the second quarter of 2023 fundraising, which ended on June 30.

The campaign reported having $3 million in cash on-hand in their coffers at the end of the second quarter.

ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR. TAKES AIM AT MAINSTREAM MEDIA

Former Ohio Rep. Dennis Kuncinich, Kennedy’s campaign manager, argued that the fundraising is a sign of “the public’s support for a courageous, authentic truth-teller. We are hearing again and again that Mr. Kennedy is catching on because the public is fed up with the media smears. People are answering the attacks by opening up their wallets.”

WILLIAMSON TARGETS DNC OVER ‘OUTRAGEOUS’ BACKING OF BIDEN
Rfk jr says he will not support Biden. Rfk jr says he will not support the Ukraine war or any other wars of us aggression.

“RFK, Jr. has shown respect for the intelligence of the American people. The more people hear his message, the more he connects,” added Kucinich, who unsuccessfully ran in 2004 and 2008 for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Fundraising, along with polling, is a key metric to gauge a candidate’s popularity and a campaign’s strength. The money raised can be used for travel, ads, and to build voter outreach efforts.

Kennedy said in an interview last month Rfk jr states that “the mainstream media has dismissed my candidacy as an irrelevancy.”

Trump is a fascist biden is the worst backslider and and warmonger pssible. All the crap we see in this capitalist totalitarian craphole is vetted by the cia and corporate shadow govt comon christina get real. Williamson gets no coverage

      • to Erica brayco
I’m not sure that his plans are all that genuinely democratic. But he seems better than any others contending. I too, have a few reservations about the vaccine stuff, (even though I am fully vaccinated) – such a profitable business for the competing companies. To my utter shame. I ponder that the abominable Trump might be better than Biden, who is completely in the grip of the war-mongering industries. But who can ever become president of USA without having the backing of those industries?

Comment by Christina Macpherson | July 10, 2023

  3. There is a grave discrepancy between the naratives of the predatory rulers, and the reality of the economy. People can afford less and less.
The usa is mostly sweltering. The climate deniers are ignoring it. It was at its worse in 2020 and 2021 It skipped a year in 2022. Next year it will be irreconcilable.
The proxy war narative disparity is very dangerous. The difference between what the so called establishment says, and what is being said in other sources, like moon of alabama or dissident voice. That war is like a black hole, that is threatening to take a lot down, fairly quickly,, especially if nukes are used. Darned it ishard to share on these things. Many are censored.

  4. The united states government does not count people, who have not ctively sought employment in the last 9 months unemployed. Many US government statistics are flawed.
Trump wanted to cut all people off social seurity disability, in the USA. That is 7,500,000 people. I am on regular social security . I have to wait five days into the month, to get check now, when major bills are due, at the begining of the month because Trump did that in spite to us.
If trump cut half of those 7.5 million people off social security disability, and cut the benefits a lot of people like me, we would all be homeless .
Half of 7.5 million is 3,525,000 people.
Thats 3,525,000 million homelesS Trump cut off social security, in addition to 2 million already homeless or, 5,325,000 homeless, total. Trump says again and again, he will put all homeless people in concentration camps in the usa. Biden is ruining the economy and pushing the country ever closer to ww3. Why should people, in a supposedly civilized country, have only these two old monsters as a choice, for a leader? I cannot believe the cruel propaganda of the american media or the thoughtless, assertions of people from outside the usa, that one of these things, would be better than the other.
