Censorship of radioactive fallout reports

Comparison Of Censored And Uncensored Japan Fukushima Nuclear Radiation Fallout Forecast

Active map Cover up of Japan Fukushima Nuclear Radiation Fallout Forecasts Exposed!

I previously reported on the steady concentrated stream of Nuclear radioactive fallout heading toward the US and Canada. In that post I pointed out that several censored radiation forecasts have been found but were never released to the public.

We now have for the first time a side by side comparison of two radiation fallout forecasts. On the left is the censored version released to the public downplaying the levels of radiation spreading around the world. On the right is the same uncensored forecast…. http://blog.alexanderhiggins.com/2011/04/19/comparison-censored-uncensored-japan-nuclear-radiation-fallout-forecast-18514/

Fukushima cleanup plan means continued radioactive leaking

VIDEO
Plan to End Fukushima Nuclear Crisis Leaves Reactor Leaking Radiation For Another 3 Months :   – The Intel Hub, By Alexander Higgins  April 14th, 2011
Japan’s plan to end the Fukushima nuclear reactor crisis involves letting radiation leak for the next 3 months. The manufacturer of the Fukushima nuclear reactor revealed the plan to end the nuclear reactor radiation leak which will be split into 3 phases over 10 years. The first stage will take about three months during which they plan to stabilize the nuclear reactor and spent fuel pools while preventing the radiation leak from increasing. You read that correct, NO PLAN TO STOP THE RADIATION LEAK WITHIN THE NEXT 3 MONTHS – ONLY A PLAN TO STOP THE LEAK FROM INCREASING.

Three aspects of Fukushima nuclear crisis

VIDEO Arnie Gundersen: Three Things You Should Know About Fukushima –– Forbes, Osha Gray Davidson , 13 April 11 Nuclear engineer Arnie Gundersen has plenty of experience with nuclear “events.” He was an expert witness during the investigation of the 1979 Three Mile Island accident and has studied the catastrophic failure at Chernobyl in 1986. He has critics aplenty — primarily from inside the nuclear industry who see him as a turncoat.Still, he’s one of the more knowledgeable sources you can find on nuclear power. In the video below, Gunderson discusses three aspects of the disaster at Fukushima that are worth considering.

Fukushima cleanup – unknown cost, unknown magnitude

count on cleanup costing $10 billion. Engineers can break the problem down to the basics, and they know how to do each individual step — but nobody’s ever tried a nuclear cleanup on this scale before….

AUDIO Cleaning Up Fukushima: A Challenge To The Core : NPR 13 April 2011, “…….Nuclear engineers working at the Japanese plant are dealing with two problems at the same time: They are working to fully stabilize the plant’s reactors, and they are trying to control the release of radioactive material. Radioactive Cesium in Hawaii and other USA locations

AUDIO Japan Nuclear Radiation In Hawaii Milk At LEAST 600% Above Federal Drinking Water Limits : The Intel Hub By Alexander Higgins – Contributing Writer April 12, 2011 Title of article now represents the minimum percentage that the radiation found in Hawaii is over EPA standards.

New EPA milk samples in Hawaii show radiation in milk at 800% above limits for Cs-134, 633% above limits for Cs-137 and 600% above EPA maximum for I-131 for a total of 2033%, or 20.33 times, above the federal drinking water limits.

New readings have also been posted for Phoenix AZ with milk being above the federal limit and Los Angeles with milk being slightly below the limit for Iodine.

Montpelier VT milk has tested positive for radioactive CS-137, above about 2/3rds the EPA maximum and Spokane WA milk testing less than half the limit for i-131….Japan Nuclear Radiation In Hawaii Milk At LEAST 600% Above Federal Drinking Water Limits :

Safety concerns raised about global nuclear industry

VIDEO   Japanese Nuclear Crisis Renews International Safety Concerns | East Asia and Pacific | English “……. Jeffrey Young April 07, 2011 While the international nuclear power industry says it is strongly focused on safety, the events at Japan’s Fukushima facility raise concerns that – no matter how carefully designed these nuclear facilities may be – accidents can happen……Officials monitoring the Fukushima disaster are carefully monitoring the concrete and steel structures called “containment vessels” that encase the nuclear reactors.  These containment vessels are designed to prevent radiation from escaping. There are concerns that at least one of the vessels at Fukushima may have been breached….

Aerial views of Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power complex

PHOTOS  Bird’s-Eye View Of Japan’s Stricken Nuclear Plant Shows Vast Damage : The Picture Show : NPR, by Andrew Prince, 31 March, Our reporters and photographers on the ground in Japan have helped us hear and see the destruction wrought by the massive quake and tsunami that struck the island nation March 11. In contrast, the crisis unfolding at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power complex remains largely opaque.

Mostly, that’s because damage to the nuclear reactors and the buildings that house them makes for hazardous and radioactive conditions. Forget about access for journalists: Workers can’t even get too close for too long. Four of the facility’s six reactor units have been badly damaged by explosions and fires triggered by failures in emergency cooling systems in the wake of the quake and tsunami. These aerial photographs of the facility, taken by a drone on March 20 and 24, put a new face on the ongoing nuclear crisis….. Three Mile Island accident – a continuing story

PICTURES  Three Mile Island: Legacy of a nuclear accident,  The Washington Post, Michael S. Williamson,  29 March 11, Japan’s nuclear crisis brings back haunting memories for residents of Middletown, Pa., which became the site of the worst U.S. commercial nuclear accident when a partial meltdown began at the Three Mile Island power plant March 28, 1979. But even as the 32nd anniversary of the accident looms, the crisis has never ended for some residents.

The Three Mile Island nuclear power plant, which sits along the Susquehanna River, continues operating today. Since the 1979 accident, the plant has become a touchstone for attitudes toward nuclear power: a symbol of fear for anti-nuclear activists and a symbol of the success of emergency safeguards to nuclear supporters Three Mile Island: Legacy of a nuclear accident – The Washington Post

Nuclear reactors at San Onofre and Diablo Canyon not designed to withstand earthquakes

VIDEO YouTube – Chernobyl Winds Over America Chernobyl Winds Over America. AceHoffman, 15 March 11, Had the massive 8.9 Richter-scale earthquake that has just savaged Japan hit off the California coast, it could have ripped apart at least four coastal reactors and sent a lethal cloud of radiation across the entire United States. (http://nukefree.org/ace-hoffman-computerized-graphic-what-if-chernobyl-h… )

The two huge reactors each at San Onofre and Diablo Canyon are not designed to withstand such powerful shocks. All four are extremely close to major faults.
All four reactors are located relatively low to the coast. They are vulnerable to tsunamis like those now expected to hit as many as fifty countries.  YouTube – Chernobyl Winds Over America
