UK Government accused of ditching 24GW nuclear power target

The Government has been accused of abandoning the target to achieve 24GW of total installed nuclear power capacity by 2050, and the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) has raised the possibility of building a gigawatt-scale reactor after Sizewell C.
