Even by some massive Aladdin type magical wish, we stopped burning all fossil fuel and switched to renewable energy, the level of carbon dioxide would still increase for the next 100 years. So, we must engage in a Apollo lunar landing type project to transition to renewable energy, remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere sequester it, and mitigate for the impact, and hope all species and our ecosystems can adapt. But I am not hopeful, but we must try anyhow. We are on a “Spaceship” called Earth that is circulating a star 93,000.000 miles away, and whose life support system alarms are all ringing increasingly loudly. If we don’t all blow ourselves up in the interim by a third and final thermonuclear war all because we disagree on how to share the responsibilities of living together harmoniously with each other and other lifeforms and our fragile ecosystem or disagree on what end of an egg we break, when we crack it open on.”,
