  1. That area is prone to sinkholes. I hope that they hurry up and bring Holtec down over corruption! These canisters are dangerous and unfit for purpose. They are welded shut like a tuna can and have no double lid, no build in pressure or radiation sensors, plus are only around 1/2 inch thick, whereas they are huge. https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2019/05/25/emails-show-how-much-pull-political-bosses-had-over-state-tax-breaks-re-holtec-international-nuclear-more/

Kris Singh was born and raised in India and supposedly got an undergraduate degree there. Americans can’t even understand him when he talks. I suspect that his grad degrees were “emperor with no clothes” degrees that it was assumed that he knew something and no one knew what he was saying. For some reason Americans were told and accepted that people from India and China were smarter than us, but no one dared asked why their countries were in such lousy shape then!

But, he’s gotten the status of “minority” and minority business, which was intended for African Americans and women. This was supposed to be reparations for slavery. Unlike the UK we did nothing to India. Minority business contract set-asides required by the US government is probably what he leveraged to get the virtually monopoly, along with a track record that looks like bribery.
