Science and Technology:
¶ An energy storage technology company, BioSolar, has claimed a breakthrough in the field of lithium-ion batteries. In a press release, the company said a technology that it is developing can significantly expand the life, increase the energy capacity, and lower the costs associated with lithium-ion batteries. ¶ Scientific models supported by the UK’s Foreign Office show that if we don’t change course, in less than three decades industrial civilization will collapse due to catastrophic food shortages, triggered by climate change, water scarcity, energy crisis, and political instability.
