Palisades Nuclear Plant to receive increased NRC oversight after radiation-expsoure violations MLive.com, By Emily Monacelli | emonacel@mlive.com COVERT TOWNSHIP, MI — Palisades Nuclear Plant will receive increase oversight by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission following investigation that determined plan officials failed to accurately calculate radiation doses to workers during an activity in 2014.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued a white finding of low-to-moderate safety significance Friday for the Covert Township plant operated by Entergy Nuclear Operations Inc.

NRC inspectors reviewed the plant’s methodology for calculating radiation doses to workers who were replacing control rod drive housings during a refueling outage in 2014.
