Octopousse supporting the children of Fukushima!

…..Our aim since the beginning has thus been to finance the holiday in its entirety for people who have lost their homes and everything they once knew……

Octopousse is a project that will allow children from Fukushima to bring these kids to spend some “becquerel free” vacation in France.They have collected almost all the funding necessary. A little short so if you can help, it ll be appreciated if not check out the program anyway. It is going to be great for these children. Very happy about that. 😉

Their stay will last 15 days and each children will be coming with at least one of their parent. Translators, a nurse , a doctor and other volunteers will be present for the duration. This is a great environment for them to play outdoors. “The first week will be devoted to riding practice. The second will concentrate on reconnecting children with the freedom and spontaneity of play, for since the nuclear catastrophe, their time spent out-of-doors has been limited to half an hour a day and swimming in the sea and forest walks are completely forbidden.”

During their stay, the emphasis will be on outdoor activities and the rediscovery of a healthy diet. (including horse riding)

Most of the families we are in contact with are in dire financial situations.
