Gareth Finn, SNP CND group convener, said: “The main aim is to educate SNP members about what membership of Nato would look like. I’d like to think they’re all anti-nuclear but when it comes to Nato, there’s a small number of people that seek to change policy.”
While Mr Finn sees Nato as a nuclear alliance, the SNP leadership has argued that an independent Scotland could join on condition that no nuclear weapons are allowed in the country.

Here’s one of them, “Against TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership)”, a NAFTA equivalent being pushed by the United States and involving countries around the Pacific Rim.

Why is this important?
36 percent of the children of Fukushima have thyroids cysyts according to a recent medical examination; the World Health Organisation (WHO) uses the Dose model instead of real data. The WHO brought the recent Fukushima report out BEFORE these test came in.. in the report it noted that the tests would be a couple of weeks and the report HAD to come out earlier?
Why not wait for the REAL data? Why the hurry for just a few weeks?
The WHO report was copied to Nature Magazine and ALL the media copied the good news version of Fukushimas residents to the world.
This shows complete manipulation of the facts and condemns the children to obscurity and ill health and possibly death.
And its not the first time!
Many scientists and health professionals have decried the on-going situation in Gomel and sorrounds, the Japanese have the data for Belarus (According to the Imperial College London 2012) but they have not released it to the public nor to the international community of universities. The Japanese government is now doing the same thing with its own citizens. Although data collection is so undermined by the government there is actually little data after this accident..
Norway commenced a huge comprehensive study of its realm after the Chernobyl accident(1986). It was manned by volunteers and supported by many laboratories with spectrometers in industry and hospitals etc for detailed isotopic testing.
Why little testing by the Japanese now, you may ask?
So the Japanese Governmeent can show a smaller dose and cover up the real damage with equations and false/incomplete data. This is supported by the WHO, the IAEA and ICRP and by a cabal of international oncology university departments and many thyroid organisations.
The Japanese Thyroid Association has submitted NO papers to date for peer review on the children of Fukushima! Staggering! They would have been aware of this problem in December 2011 as the testing of a small cohort (40,000 approx) of children had started then. The Japanese Thyroid Association in fact has done 2 papers, one for xray machines at airports and another non relevant topic.
The UK Thyroid Association is complicit in this cover up though a spokesman from the American Thyroid Association did say that the childrens thyroid results was unusual and of concern.
No one said that the WHO report was obviously wrong and NOBODY has challenged it..
It doesn’t have to be this way!
We Europeans have been given a chance to fight back!
Since the beginning of this campaign many bloggers have noticed difficulties in uploading or viewing this petitions information, indeed I have been under cyber attack now since I posted the petition last Sunday, I have had to disconnect the broadband to write this. Also, miss milkytheclown1 on You Tube and Prof Chris Busby has had problems regarding this petition.
Also, concerning web manipulation, you will find that if you go on a webpage to do with this petition that you might receive a page not found message. if you do, hit the F5 button and the page should appear. I have been getting this problem via Google search and you tube since last Sunday.
Don’t get me wrong, I expect a bit of oversight but the web itself seems to have some subtle ways of blocking searches in my opinion. Please try to get a copy of this petition and fill it in as requested. The process is clearly explained on Prof Chris Busbies video on you tube.. there are many versions and the instructions about the process are clearly explained there.
Now as was going to post this plea up to nuclear-news.net my broadband has been stopped, the security services do not want me to post this up.. because its all true and verifiable!
I have had 2 warning near misses on my motorbike from these security types.. they are now aware of my resolve and intentions and seem to want to stop me researching for muclear-new.net (Australia) and enenews.com (USA).
I noticed Christina Macpherson has been able to post to nuclear-news.net and admin has been able to post to enenews.com so the problem is with the UK authorities.. I am doing nothing illegal with my blogging, I have been accessing information in “public domain” only, no whistleblower stuff!
When my bt broadband fails on a weekend I have to wait until office hours on Monday to sort it out,
I am no longer able to get help from out of hours staff (mainly indian or Egyptian) as the screen is now blocked. The reason?
These staff have informed me over the past year that a box needs to be connected to my phone line before the line could be activated, when asked if that was normal procedure I was told that it seems to be just my line that this is being done to.Also, A representative of Vodafone apologised to me for not being allowed to trace a hacker as the police had denied the Vodafone Police Liason Officer permission to trace. I could recount other instances but I think you get the idea.
For the record. I am not a member of any organisation, aside from the above mentioned blogger news sites. I have never been on a demonstration though I was involved in some green activities in the 1980`s. I have only been using information in Public Domain..

Prominent Japanese spearhead a Bill to abolish nuclear power

A group led by Nobel literature laureate Kenzaburo Oe, Academy Award-winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and other noted celebrities has launched a nationwide network seeking passage of a bill to abolish all nuclear power plants in Japan.
“We must bring an end to nuclear power plants if humankind is to continue living in the next century,” Oe said during a news conference Wednesday in Tokyo. “By speaking out
loud, we can have the bill passed.”
Group members said they want to see the bill that they have compiled
passed as soon as possible before 2025. Oe and Sakamoto have been leading rallies against nuclear power, with the most recent protest on July 16 drawing what organizers said was an estimated 170,000 people to Yoyogi Park.
Other members of the group include Kenji Utsunomiya, former president of the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, and Tatsuya Murakami, the mayor of Tokai, Ibaraki Prefecture, where the country’s first nuclear reactor was set up in 1957.
In its bill, the group calls nuclear power an extremely fragile system in terms of security, noting the devastating damage that accidents can cause and that no safe method of disposing of nuclear waste has been established.
The group aims to prohibit construction of new nuclear plants and expansion of existing ones, and to abolish all nuclear plants between 2020 and 2025. It also seeks a ban on operation of reactors that are more than 40 years old, as well as a halt to the reprocessing of spent fuel.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory produced the study, U.S. RE Technical Potential, which looks at available renewable resources in each state. It establishes an upper-boundary estimate of development potential. Economic or market restraints would factor into what projects might actually be deployed.
The report is valuable for decision-makers and utility executives because it compares estimates across six renewable energy technologies and unifies assumptions and methods. It shows the achievable energy generation of a particular technology given resource availability – solar, wind, geothermal availability, etc. — system performance, topographic limitations, and environmental and land-use constraints.
The study includes state-level maps and tables containing available land area (square kilometers), installed capacity (gigawatts), and electric generation (gigawatt-hours) for each technology.
“Decision-makers using the study will get a sense of scale regarding the potential for renewables, and which technologies are worth examining,” said NREL’s Anthony Lopez, a co-author of the study. “Energy modelers also will find the study valuable.”
“This is intended to be a living document,” NREL’s Donna Heimiller, another co-author, added. “We’ll be frequently updating the information as we get more data.”

Now he is grappling with a hateful dilemma, addressing a room full of students in a city he believes is no longer safe for children. Fukushima City, population 290,000. Kōriyama City, population 336,000. Both of them hit by the plume that carried fission products from the broken reactors to the north-west before the wind swung briefly towards Tokyo. There is no place on this archipelago for nuclear power, and tens of millions of Japanese now understand this. Everything has changed.

The problem right now is not figuring out what the cause of the explosion [at Unit 3] is, but where in the world is the melted nuclear material that is in the plant right now?
Unfortunately we have no way of figuring this out…
We can’t go in and look… there’s nothing we can do at this point…
Like I said we have no idea where the melted nuclear core is at this point…

So where did the melted material go from there? It fell into the containment vessel and what is that made of? Also steel.
But what Tepco has been telling us is that underneath that steel is a floor of cement and that cement hasn’t melted yet.
But it’s not as if Tepco has gone there and seen if this is the case or anything like that. It’s based on calculations that they claimed to have worked out that way.
But I don’t believe it for one second.
There’s at least a possibility that it’s gone through all of it and leaked into the ground…
If something like that happens, there’s a strong possibility that it leaks into the environment and the ocean is right there.
I’ve been advocating since last May that a wall be built underground…
That’s really all I know at this point. I really hope something is done so the material doesn’t spread to the greater environment and I’m going to do all I can do to prevent that from happening.

It is a legal requirement. What is proposed, therefore, is that all individuals resident in or citizens of a EU member state country, and all NGOs based in such countries, petition the European Parliament to require a re-justification of all radiation producing practices covered by the Euratom Basic Safety Standards Directive in any of its forms in the light of the new scientific evidence of health risks.
This new evidence is appended to the Petition as an Appendix and petitioners may ask for the evidence to be presented in any scientific discussion by members of the European Committee on Radiation Risk www.euradcom.org , or the International Committee on Nuclear Justice www.nuclearjustice.org .
