CPI Jiangxi Nuclear Power Co. Ltd. would receive another 400 million yuan ($63.3 million) USDCNY +0.0408%   from its parent companies, an announcement on June 5 said. The firm was established in October 2009 to develop the Pengze nuclear plant, which is named for a county in Jiangxi Province across the Yangtze River from Anhui Province’s Wangjiang County.

The project is among the first batch of inland nuclear plants approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2008.

It is also one of the many nuclear power projects suspended after the central government decided to check domestic nuclear power expansion over safety concerns because of the meltdown at Japan’s Fukushima plant.
