Push for a $2 billion loan for Ohio uranium enrichment plant
Members of Ohio Congress urge Obama administration to guarantee $2 billion loan for Piketon uranium-enrichment plant, WKSU News: , February 28, 2011, Amanda Rabinowitz “……….A delegation of Ohio Congress members is urging the president’s administration to work quickly on a $2 billion loan guarantee for a uranium-enrichment plant in southern Ohio. They’ve sent a letter to Energy Secretary Steven Chu, saying quick action on the loan guarantee is key to the future of the American Centrifuge plant in Piketon. Developer USEC says it needs the loan guarantee to finish the plant. The government rejected a $2 billion guarantee for the project in 2009…….WKSU News: Headline News for Monday, February 28, 2011
