At last – a Clean Energy Fund that honestly IS CLEAN
George Soros, Cathy Zoi Join New Clean Energy Fund, Reuters, By SustainableBusiness.com at SustainableBusiness.com Feb 28, 2011 A private equity firm announced it will launch a new clean energy fund in collaboration with billionaire George Soros and Cathy Zoi, who recently resigned as the Obama administration’s assistant secretary for energy efficiency and renewable energy.Zoi will join the Silver Lake Kraftwerk Fund in April and Soros Fund Management LLC will act as a strategic partner.
Operating out of offices in Silicon Valley and China, the fund aims to invest in companies that leverage technology and business model innovation to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste and emissions, harness renewable energy, and more efficiently use natural resources, among other applications.
