Positive future for renewable energy

The Future of Alternative and Renewable Energy The Blunt Blogger By Maisy Winter 26 Dec 2010 Innovation in alternative and renewable energy sources and technologies is quickly changing the face of this rapidly expanding energy sector. The United States residential use of energy is predicted to increase by 25 percent in the year 2025, predicted by the U.S. Department of Energy.

It is expected, however, that part of the source of that energy will come from renewable sources such as wind and the sun. The executive director of the American Solar Energy Society Brad Collins expressed that the future only holds space for renewable energy.Popular sources include:

– Photovoltaic systems which traps the energy from the sun to turn into electricity
– Wind power which costs less
– Geo-exchange systems which can save up to 70 percent in cost for home-heating

These renewable energy sources supply only around seven percent or less of the United States. However, there is an increase of them due to certain concerns, from greenhouse gases to foreign suppliers…..
