CEO of nuclear plant company charged with fraud takes leave  Idaho Press-Tribune December 20, 2010 BOISE — Alternate Energy Holdings today announced CEO Don Gillispie will immediately take a voluntary leave of absence until the court rules on the validity of allegations from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.Thursday the SEC charged the Idaho company with fraudulently raising money from investors across the country and Asia to build a $10 billion nuclear power plant.

The SEC also asked a court to freeze the assets of Alternate Energy Holdings and its two top executives. The federal financial regulators are accusing the Eagle-based company of taking part in a scheme to enrich its chief executive at the expense of investors.

Gillispie, 67, has been working for more than two years to raise money and select a location in southern Idaho, including in Elmore and Payette counties, to build a nuclear power plant…..
