Renewable energy projects happening without fanfare
(Canada) B.C. renewable-energy news items add up – City of Industry, Vancouver Sun, By Derrick Penner Biz 23 Nov 2010 They aren’t making big news, but the companies working on renewable energy projects continue to rack up small news items in the continuing development of the sector.
First up, Plutonic Power Corp. and its financial partner GE Energy Financial Services, today, announced they’ve begun generating electricity from the first nine of 48 wind turbines in their Dokie wind farm just outside of Chetwynd….on the longer-term front, the BC Bioenergy Network, today, said it is throwing some financial support to two bioenergy projects (these are facilities that either burn non-fossil fuels to generate electricity, or capture fuels that would otherwise contribute more significantly to greenhouse-gas emisions)…
