Renewable energy future for South East Asia

Greenpeace urge SE Asian to invest in renewable energy, WikiPeers.com 23 June 2010, “……Greenpeace International senior energy expert Sven Teske explained in his report, Energy (R)evolution: A Sustainable World Energy Outlook, that if the Southeast Asian nations will engage in producing renewable energy from the sources he mentioned, it would bring almost 100 percent boost in their economy by 2050 as it would certainly generate 700,000 jobs and 30 percent more jobs up until by 2020.

By that time, the report disclosed, 94 percent of electricity produced from renewable energy sources will eventually come from the fast-growing economy of Asia. By doing so, it would certainly generate more jobs by 2020 because the energy revolution scenario is apt of investing in people rather than fossil fuels.
The Southeast Asia can possibly opt to producing renewable energy in order to avoid being overly dependent on fossil fuel and this would surely bring out massive benefits to economies with low-carbon emissions.Sven Teske is in the Philippines to promote the production and use of renewable energy. He has been seeking the support of President-elect Benigno “Noynoy”Aquino who will be sworn in to office on June 30, 2010 to implement the Renewable Energy Act of 2008 (RA 9531) which was enacted by the 14th Congress with the aim to provide aid to energy-producing institutions that prefer to put in capital investments in the said energy venture.
