Obama’s effort on renewable energy – a tiny drop in the bucket
Cleaning Up: President Obama must begin to lead the nation beyond oil syracuse.com , June 15, 2010, “… a $500,000 grant for the region to cut greenhouse gas emissions. ….The grant, won by the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board, will be combined with $250,000 in matching funds to help nine communities in Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga and Oswego counties reduce their carbon footprints by retrofitting buildings, making buses more efficient and other strategies…..compared to the all-out effort needed to wean America from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy, it is a tiny drop in the bucket.……….The future lies in conservation and renewable energy development.
