Nuclear waste disposal like a toilet with no plumbing
We have no space for all of this waste Western Courier Sara Gregory 11/13/09 According to CNN reports in early November, the ‘nuclear renaissance’ so heavily anticipated last year is in fact alive and well; billions more in taxpayer money could soon be employed to revive the movement……..…….In theory, nuclear power always seemed like such a good idea. I just can’t get over the fact that we haven’t figured out how to dispose of nuclear waste yet.
At least the French have found a way to recycle plutonium and uranium, improving the situation, but even that process leaves behind very toxic nuclear waste. ……………Call it big or small, it’s toxic waste. This is a glaring problem that hasn’t been solved yet, so how are we pushing nuclear power when we don’t fully understand it yet?
Nuclear power is old news and right now poses more problems than benefits. Toxic waste, inflated costs and new weapons are only a few of the concerns surrounding this issue.
It’s like having a baby without buying diapers and even more like purchasing a toilet without the plumbing. Great, we spent all this money on the toilet, but
