NUCLEAR SPIN wearing thin – theme for November
Nuclear spin is starting to wear very thin. The nuclear companies – AREVA, Westinghouse, Kepco etc are engaged in an undignified scramble to sell their wares to the Third World - as they’re not having much luck in the “first” and “second” worlds – ( Europe, and USA.)
USA desperate about what to do with its piles of radioactive waste, and Europe similarly. As renewables get cheaper, and nuclear gets dearer, it’s hard to sell nuclear power to investors.
Ironic that pro-nukers spruik nuclear power as the solution to global warming – seeing that most of them don’t even believe that the planet is warming.
A pity that we don’t get to know about China. Despite its nuclear facilities being located in earthquake and flood-prone zones, China appears to be so wedded to its nuclear weapons program that it is therefore devoted to nuclear power - always an easier job when the State m not the industry, pays the costs
